This is the law of India where men are considered guilty until proven innocent. Jab tak medical report na aaye, ladke ko jail mein rehna padhega. WTF! Agar rape ke liye 15 years imprisonment hai, then false rape charges also deserve 15 years of punishment. Make the law so strict that people will be scared to file false rape charges.

This story doesnt make any sense on two parts . 1st If that girl was in relation ship with the guy karthik as he claimed ,they are also college mates why did they acted like they dont know each other at first? why didnt she panicked in marriage fixing? may be karthick had interest in her .when she is marrying he started spreading rumours. having phone number of the girl is not hard for any one. going out for a tea also doesnt proove anything. 2nd is Rape charge .only that was discarded not the assault for which guy brought her to the hotel. its easy for a guy to make a girl characterless in the society even more easy for girl to do that on a boy. i think karthik should be punnished for ruining two familys

They filed a case against her in court for false rape charges. Her father says this to her in 30:40.Most probably her father being lawyer was a barrier to her being immediately arrested as they felt she could be easily let out on bail. But overall, there is no reason to assume that women get more leeway in legal matters. Situation could have been similar (and often is) had that been a rich lawyer's son.
