Sesshoumaru is the tough love type of dad. His way of being a father is just protecting them from dying in the shadows. But he won't fight his children's battles because he doesn't want to spoil them and deny them the opportunity to become stronger. It doesn't mean he doesn't care for them. From a human point of upbringing, you would call it emotional neglect, but Youkai are more like wild animals with regard to how they care for their young ones. The human parent would provide emotional support to compensate, I suppose. There's also the fact that he has to put up an act about how he doesn't really care for his kids in front of Zero and Kirinmaru.

This scene honestly made me cry. I love it too much. Setsuna’s death hurt me so much at the end of season one. Also Seshomaru catching Towa was just- so sweet.

I like how Setsuna woke up and her first instinct was to kill. Half a second to register she was about to be eaten so just swing and pray lol
