Great video. How do I establish point X on the ground? I see you're using point X as a reference for all calculations but I don't know how to set that point on the ground. Can you please explain how to do this.

Hello. No, as the distances measured for setting out are horizontal not sloped.

@@ziadabdeldayem6884 Yes, so on a sloping site we would need to correct the horizontal distance and use the slope distance when measuring from the theodolite to our peg in question

Can we use theodolite to setout the map on ground ? In where we use bearing and distance on the instrument ?

Why do you write ▲NXC3 in positive when calculating the QB ? And where the 78º41'24'' come from if 10/2 = 5 , so tan inverse of 5 = 1º22' 24'' I appreciate your reply !

Ok, excuse me ! I just realised that is indicated the ''absolutes values '' should be used when calcuating QB. However I still don't get where you arrive to 78º41'24''.

@@millivanilli4825 Inverse tan of 5 is 78º41'24''. Try it again, on your calculator you should have tan-1(5) = 78º41'24''.

How is x established, do you just place x anywhere on the site and then proceed

X is a control survey station that should be known on the plan and on the ground (nail). Regards
