Setting Sail on the DISNEY WISH! | Very Merrytime Disney Cruise 2023 Day 1

It's our first time on the Disney Wish for a 4 night cruise to the Bahamas! This cruise was also a Very Merrytime cruise, which means lots of Christmas theming, shows and more! The Wish is an absolutely beautiful ship and has a totally different feel than the other ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. So much happened and it was only day 1! We got to experience the sail away party, a Christmas show with Mickey, Minnie and the gang, dinner at Arendelle, Disney Victrophonics and so much more! We also give a room tour of our Oceanview stateroom, which we ended up loving throughout the course of the cruise. The show in the Walt Disney Theater was "Seas the Adventure" and was very cute! So much more to come!

The plastic croc 🤣 Totally agree that the Wish has the best Sail Away deck party. And I LOVE Disney Seas the Adventure. So many great characters and songs. Glad you had such a great first day. Excited to see the rest of your cruise.

I know it is an unpopular opinion, but I love a little later port arival time like you guys did this time. I don't want to be the last family on, but if you wait just a little later all the crowds have embarked and you can just walk through. It is so much more chill. There is still time to make any small changes like dining adjustments, checking kids into kids clubs, or getting spa passes. If you can time it right, you won't have to wait long before you can drop your luggage in the room and still have time to eat before muster and sail away. Its just a more relaxed way to start your trip in my opinion.

Great video as always. I had forgotten how tightly packed the tables are in the Arendelle restaurant. It’s a shame that restaurant seems to still have similar issues we experienced. But when the ship is at its best, it definitely has WOW moments. We look forward to your upcoming posts.

We were just on the Wish Dec 18 and we didn't have a card in our room for the lights. I used an old Hyatt room key. Maybe your host put it in there, but I don't think that they all do that as a rule.

Was it loud staying on deck two? We will be near it’s a small world and liked it for the convenience of dropping the kids off or picking them up and like being near elevators, but didn’t know if it would be too much foot traffic right there

It wasn’t loud at all for us! We stayed in a similar location on the Magic as well, close to the elevators, and was concerned about noise but never heard anything (both on the Wish and Magic). It’s a great location!

Marceline Market will definitely be open when you get onboard. They serve until 3pm!
