I agree with you, I don't enjoy drawing out every monthly calendar and every thing I want. There are some aspects of bullet Journaling that I enjoy, and I like how you can personalize this style planner without having to reinvent the wheel every single month. I think I want to give this a try. I'm gonna go with the nicest cheapest one I can find to see how I like it, before really committing a whole bunch of money to something I may or may not keep up. Oh yeah... I so agree on the happy planner. It's just too bulky. I do plan to get an adjustable whole punch though because that way I can canabalize any other parts of any other system I want to try out.

I’m doing bullet journaling this year, but I’m wanting to do a binder planner😫 but instead I’m going to stick with the bullet journal and just watch everyone’s ring binder videos to satiate me 😆 great video!

the ability to customize is what i have quicly fallen back in love with in an a5 type. i used to do franklin covey. now trying out hte erin condren daily duo in vegan leather a5 ring binder. so i can have whatever i want, little pockets, places for my pics, my own dividers, personalized dividers from etsy.. ive gone crazy

I first used a ring planner 30 years ago, my first Filofax 20 years ago. But I got sick of having to take the paper out etc, so I used bound planners for the last 10 years, stalogy for the last 4. But, I’m back into ring planners, personal Filofax and I am enjoying it all over again.

This is my first time watching your channel, kudos to you - you do a great job, and you’ve got a beautiful aesthetic background. The fawn color really suits you in that outfit and space. Totally feeling your commitment to not wasting pages, dot grids, using undated pages, customizing pages. Levenger has delicious leather soft folios in their Circa Disc Binder collection, if you ever want to take the size down a little bit more to a half-size or up to letter-size. but maybe you know that already. Pricey, but WONDERFUL leather smell and feel! I wait for the sales. Ideally, the discontinuing sale. my husband loves the one that I got for him in a sort of Cognac color leather with copper discs. The softfolios come with a slim disc binder, but the soft folio will let you slip in any kind of planner as long as the rings/spirals aren't too thick, or the covers to big. Additional pockets for a traditional pad of paper, and other things. Would be a very practical and inexpensive way to use a beautiful folio. I love the flexibility of a disc binder with the press and peel simplicity of putting papers in and pulling papers out. You only have to carry as many papers as you feel like carrying, But it is simple as can be to add and remove papers and only carry what you want and need. I don’t really use their inserts at all, though I got their sample pack to try it out at first. (Then you can take the value of that sample pack and apply it to your next purchase, and I used my credit to offset the cost of one of their very nice punches. Their punches Make the best holes for disc binders) I really like their Cornell note style pages, which have a blank space along the left side of the page where you can jot down notes that help you find things quickly. I designed my own page like that, only I added another column as a checkbox column, to use as a bullet journal style brain dump page. And I included lines in the far left column because my handwriting just looks better if I have a line to write on. and it cost a lot less than ordering the custom pages. Maybe someday I will splurge and put it on something a little more substantial than standard copy paper. I love my page design. (Didn’t take very long to create it using MS Word using Tables/floating 1-box tables as headers). i’m still trying to design my perfect planner pages. If and when I get tired of that, I will probably try the undated planner pages that go with the Circa system before trying something else. They also have the most beautiful array of disc colors, Elegant aluminum, multi colored plastic that coordinates with their various types of covers, uncolored translucent ones, And of course the plain black plastic. Again. I wait for the sales.

Is the a5 paper u bought of good quality? Is it thicker than regular letter sized printing paper?

I did bullet journaling but same it failed! Couldn’t keep up with the drawing.

I also filoflax you can just change the paper and organise it and say like I have snd but it let's say now. You can buy the 2022 pages for it. Had it for a week its a good planner do recomend as you don't need to always buy a new planner for each year and not have your personalised preference

Hello I think I heard you say saffiano. Saffiano is still leather just a lesser quality. They embossed that crosshatching pattern which makes it more durable. Hope this helps. Not sure if filofax make non leather planners
