Sunny eating at the table is a big step…it’s been years for me and I still sometimes struggle with eating in front of other people. It’s nice when it’s not a big deal.

I have got my goals set for 2024. I am keeping it down to 3 big goals only this year so I don't overwhelm myself. I have broken them down into three areas, put down the steps on how I am going to achieve them. I have also put down what success looks like. I have decided to keep my 2024 journal very minimal layouts. I am also only using a few colours in my journal.

I don’t get too fancy with my everyday planner, i use a Weekly Passion Planner. I do color coordinate w the MakseLife goals so I know when I’m working on something goal related.

I was going to use a dot cross a5 undated planner from STM, but when it came it had a horizontal weekly layout instead of the vertical one that was in the pictures on Amazon, and you of all people will understand how frustrating that is! Now I’m back to square one.

Happy end of 2023! So this year for myself...kind of all over the place. I definitely suffer from wanting to use all the things! Ugh. I love the creativity of bullet journaling, I love Makselife for goals, also Laken's system. But I sure got sucked into the launch of the Sterling Ink from seeing other using them etc. Not 100% how it is all going to shake out, but definitely open to ideas and suggestions. Plan going in it ML for goals, habits, what is and is not working. Using the cute ML notebooks for bullet journalish stuff...getting creative and maybe monthly highlights. I have the Sterling Ink compact weeks to take out with me and contain doc and med info for myself and the home since that is a lot. I have the B6 Sterling compact that is going to serve as my journal, brainstorming etc. Looking forward to the Weeks size to carry around since I had always previously carried a big 7x9 planner with me. Here is hoping it works out!

I love the Dark Tower books and The Eye of the Dragon, I’ve read them yearly from age 16-26. High time for me to read them again! But I am also very much into reading books with my kids at the moment.

I'm using Makselife Companion notebooks plus a bullet journal. I want to plan weekly, always feel jealous about nice weekly spreads but in reality I just need space to write a to do list and notes. This year I broke my goals down into quarterly as well so I'm looking forward to seeing how this will look.

I got a generic planner off Amazon with the monthly and vertical weekly pages. I love it so much. I use it for appointments and such then decorate at the end of the day as a type of memory keeping. I have the Hobonichi techo but it is too small so I'm using it as a symptom dairy.

I'm using the Sterling Ink CommonPlanner in the Travelers size and a Sterling Ink notebook as a bullet journal....I have a few other things in the system too, but these are my ride or die planners.

I envy how easily you seem to come up with your actions and goals. How long do you think it has taken to get that way? I suspect it's because you keep doing it so it gets easier each time, yeah?

10:52 you just started writing your January goals and come across something for weekly and decided to do that later... In my planner those weekly items often get missed because I forget to look at my quarterly pages again to trigger those items. ... So, I list those weekly items on my monthly page as "4 times this month" just like you did the other items as once or twice this month. ... Then when I fill out my weekly pages, I only have to reference my monthly page. 💖🌞🌵😷

I'm looking forward to the weekly.reflections, daily gratitude and a focus on top 3 for the week. I'm using the Monk Manual.

Hi Cindy. I’m curious the difference between goals and fun projects. I’m just getting into goal setting and I have a lot I want to accomplish this year but I think my “list” has goals, to-dos, and projects all mixed in. I’m not sure how to separate them or how they should be treated differently throughout the year. Thanks!

I am setting up my hemlock and oak as my goals and decorative planner. I have an ashley shelly monthly (the simply gilded collab) as my monthly and edc, and I got a wandering star planner (astrology focused) no real clue what I'm going to do with it. It was an impulse buy. I want to live that astrology life but haven't figured it out yet.

Happy almost New Year! This last year I used the undated Makselife 6 month and it was the first time I ever actually used and FINISHED a planner. TWO planners! So I am going with the flagship for 2024. I also bought an A5 Sterling Ink, a standard Hobonichi Weeks and a Mega. I am using the standard weeks for my wellness/weight loss journal and the mega for my everything else journal. I am going to use the Sterling Ink for the same reason you are. So I might not actually use the Makselife this year. Or I might use both... Who knows! I enrolled in HB90 in Q2 of 2023 but never made it though the bootcamp. (even though I tried every quarter) That is actually one of my goals this year. To make it through the bootcamp every quarter and implement the system into my work life. I am also going on a no buy of stationary and planner shit this year. I have WAY too much stuff! I used to be a scrapbooker and I am a borderline hoarder lol!

I’m using a Hobonichi Weeks (for the first time) as just sort of a quick journal. My life is just really too busy right now for some good, in depth journaling. On the dot grid page each week I thought I could reflect and write more about how I’m feeling about the chaos that my life is. Hopefully I can fit a few stickers and some washi down too. Your book layout has just inspired me to use the extra month pages for book lists and shows I want to binge. I’m going to glue the pages of the weeks of Dec. 2023 because I used them as testing layouts and now I don’t want to see them. The thought of glueing this tomoa river paper together sort of scares the shit out of me. My planner for 2024 is the Sprouted Planner with the days and weeks. I can’t wait to get started in it!

I like your Stephen King list. There's a couple prolific authors I enjoy reading (mainly Mercedes Lackey) that I want to do this with, so you gave me a great idea! I'm using the B6 half year common planner because I wanted to try the Tomoe River paper but couldn't afford a Hobonichi, and so far... I'm loving it.

I am in my King era, but I've only read a few. I got the trilogy starting with Mr. Mercedes for Christmas and I'm planning to start The Gunslinger in January.

I did the same thing you did with Stephen King, but with Agatha Christie and Sir Terry Pratchett. They take up quite a few pages of my 2024 planner, and they were hard to format because they have so many subserieses that I wanted to make sure I could track. My December 2023 calendar is my bucket list on one page and regular tasks on the other, and my Jan 2025 calendar is my kanban for the year just so I can visualize concurrent projects

Artists producing better work when they’re on drugs makes a lot of sense as to why I can’t come up with creative ideas/draw as well as I used to. I’m not smoking enough weed anymore. 😂 What do you recommend for a light reader who wants to try reading some Stephen King? I tried reading under the dome in high school and DNFed it.
