I use the Cameo on a regular basis. So I decided to purchase the Curio as an addition and I'm having so much trouble understanding it. I'm trying to do a simple embossing and nothing is being embossed. I gotta say, the Curio is difficult.

I think a big mistake that everyone is making is that they're trying to replace the cameo with the curio. There are not a lot of good tutorials out there and people are jumping the gun and purchasing a curio without doing their research. I have both a cameo and a curio. I'm still learning with the curio and have a TON of questions but I only cut vinyl on my cameo because it's tried and true. I came here looking for answers and didn't find what I was looking for - but i'll figure it out eventually and when I do - I promise to make a video with more detail that this one

Are you able to use the cutting mat 12x12 on the curio?

I am having such trouble with my Curio mahine!!! :'( It is either cutting right through my vinyl backing, or it isn't cutting enough. I have used the exact settings, as well as played with my own settings. Does anyone have some advice? Hints? Tricks? :/

Update - to all my crafty friends! I would not get the Silhouette Curio right now. My husband bought me one for my Birthday and I was super excited! But, After trying and trying to get Customer Service to help me get it to work..I Then had to ask for a supervisor, When I spoke to the supervisor he assured me he would talk with me himself to help me solve the problems. I sent him an email 5 days ago and still have not gotten a reply. My 240.00 Birthday present Has Been sitting in the corner of my craft room unused for 10 days !!!! .
