6:40 i rarely ever use that wheel to actually target a specific pokemon on switch, however it does sort of provide value for knowing when enemies are nearby even if you dont pan your screen around to check the map. i've had an enemy icon show up on that wheel when i never knew they were there....so yea its kind of goofy to use to actually target, but i think it helps to just raise your awareness when there are enemies nearby

Agreed I don't use for anything other than what u just said I've always had it on and never used it but I see it highlight the enemy when they are close also just knowing who is on the enemy team sometimes I'm not paying attention at the loading screen and don't know who I'm playing against

I don't understand why developers don't fix the control bugs. It doesn't seem important to them. I told them about it in every survey and even contacted customer support. The bugs exist since day 1 and never got fixed :/

I usually use Lowest remaining HP(value) for Ranged mons to avoid hitting the tanks during teamfights. Then for melee mons, i use closest

As support, I hate moving in automatically when hitting the attack button. In pursuit attacks turned off will help me. Thanmbks CrisHeroes.

Suggestion for another video; Talk about and explain Pokemons underlying abilities and how these might synchronize with particular movesets or builds. This info is the kind of thing that gets brushed over a lot and isn't explained to players via the game

@@ruatfelachhakchhuak7823 what do you mean? Moves have a base cooldown. Ex: 1 sec if an item says reduces cooldown by .2% you’d be at .8s cooldown ez explaination

I believe I use the attack closest option, but I play defender, and it ultimately doesn’t matter because I have the targeting menu on and can manually target whatever enemy I want. It also lets me know if an enemy is nearby. I also put my minimap in the bottom right so I can easily look around the map.

I used Lock-On Icon on switch, sometimes it glows up when there's a hiding pokemon. This also serves as detection for nearby hiding pikes

on the controls for the moves, i find usefull having each move in a different z button, it makes it easier to cast both really fast (at least for me) and then the unite is r since you normally use it less

I have that setup as well, interesting to have both move 1 and 2 on the right side, probably won't try it since it's muscle memory now that it's zl and zr :P

I changed my move sets to L and R for similar reasons you changed to top and bottom. It just made way more sense in my head to have them that way.

I like the lock on icon on switch purely for extra information. I don't actually use it to lock on to anything but if I miss someone on the corner of the screen dip into a bush or walk in and then out of my view and I'm pre occupied paying attention to a fight I still notice the icon light up then disappear so I know they are lurking around

Actually lock on icon is very useful for me atleast on mobile, i can see what are the nearby enemy pokemons by looking at the icons.

i use it on switch and i think its good but can be annoying sometimes when you are aiming abilities

On mobile, I think lock-on is great! On Switch, it’s so buggy and terrible that I can’t have it on bc it messes up my aiming (I aim abilities with right joystick, which is used to direct lock-on too). The icons on Switch are also way too big, they take up 1/3 of the screen so I have less vision.

It's very useful but sometimes it's a bit buggy. The enemy Icon sometimes appear when the pokemon is nowhere to be found lol

I love it on switch too. very helpful when focusing on a specific pokemon when having lowest % HP on. But I wish that they add pre-target feature for lock on icon. That would be super helpful to me. So I dont have to keep re lock on a pokemon when they get in and out during long combat fight

One more video idea might be to explain loading bars for different abilities. I understand boosted attack load bars, but the likes of pokemon specific ones like for tsareena, that one is still unclear to me

I have a video suggestion I think you should try dragon dance/outrage dragonite,its also insane like the dragon dance/hyper beam but with more power.Also you can use ddance during outrage making the move stronger after each hit.Its evil,I know. >:J

14:20 Same! Lmao I swapped my shoulder buttons cause I wanted them to match how they are in game. Same thought process with items/scoring. I want to be able to activate my item more easily.

I don't know if anyone said this already, but 12:25 that's not what snap to target does. I found some of the translations/names to be odd for some of these settings. What that setting does it makes it so abilities track your target. So if I press and hold sludge bomb on Gengar, it follows the target. You aren't forced to aim where it follows. You can freely move your ain whenever you want which will disable the tracking (for that button press specifically). That way you can lead your target. I leave it on cause it's not going to harm me. I manually aim a lot of things anyways. I made a video once describing those bizarrely named settings and what they but scrapped it.

Move panel is best at high on phone, since you don’t have to guess where you aim a move like in switch, you just aim with your actual finger on the target on the screen on phone

Oh my gosh, I just started playing PU, and you basically fixed a whole range of frustrations I've been having. Especially the auto-assist, the targeting switching based on health, and targeting speed. Thanks, you saved me probably hours of messing with the settings, trying to figure them out. And seriously, WHY are move 1 and move 2 backwards from the on-screen icons?! It makes no sense!

I think this is a fantastic.. As someone that has been playing game since release.. some Pokemon are easier/convenient to play by tweaking the settings a little... It adds to the playstyle.. Also would be great if you could make a video about bees timer.. I think players in general tend to neglect this..

For Hex Gengar you have to use the "closest" option (on Switch), otherwise you're gonna constantly aim at the wrong thing, which pretty much means you're dead with that build.

Cause Hex is a directional move, the ability doesn't say Target locks to the one that has status condition. Relying on spamming will get you killed easily if you don't know how to aim

I didn't know we could rebind buttons. It really bugged me that the ability at the top of the UI was bound to the bottom Swtich trigger. Unfortunately now that I've played for a bit, I don't think it's worth it to unlearn and relearn. But hopefully that tip can help others!

I hate the option of attack direction follows movement direction because of attacks auto snapping to close opponents. It messes me up so many times while trying to scape because I instinctively think it will follow and suddenly you jump backwards like with machamp's dynamic punch or cram's dive. It's a shame that you are not able to fully disable autosnapping yet lol.

7:00 that thing is very bug on phone. Always give me anxiety because I suddenly see Icon of 3 pokemon while I was scoring only to realize my teammate saw them, not me. A split second of Intel that could be useful

I hate the auto select for abilities. Once when I was Machamp I was racing in with my unite to steal Zapdos and the clown, instead of using the ability literally ahead of him, flipped a 180 and beat senseless the Crawdaunt behind him. It hurts to think about it...

For Hex Gengar (I know not meta) you should change target to closest so you can spam hex and not randomly shoot over to an in range but not poisoned opponent

What do you do to reduce snapback? Just pure focus on not releasing the stick? It got so bad for me on several different controllers and it's hard for me to re-train my thumb to stay on the stick for a bit after i use a move... I would love to see a small dead zone at some point

I tried using the lock on wheel once and it just didn't work for me because I always start holding the right stick before pressing the move button and it would mess with the targeting I also prefer the "camera follows aim" option on because I'm not too amazing with manually moving the camera I use lowest hp value because it tends to aim towards the squishier players instead of the tanks, never considered against wild pokemon

There is any kind of bug with "In-motion pursuit mode"? Since the release i always kept that setting off but the Pokemon always moved toward a Pokemon (Wild or from the opposing team) for no reason and I'm still trying to understand why to me (on switch) that setting doesn't work.

this game's setting needs to be more specific. like, when i play gardevoir on switch, if melee mon dive toward to me, the speed of aim couldn't catch up then i die. wish there is more option for non-targeting skills.

Can i disable the thing where when i just auto attack and nothing is in range, my pokemon still automatically runs to the nearby opponent and starts attacking? I swear that shit is so annoying
