I think the lore was, some of the devs used to have a friend in university called stankers who would just make "potions" and not tell anyone what was in the drinks he gave them so they put him in the game. :D

fun fact: Stankers is named after a uni friend of the Gowers, and the Poison chalices that he gives out are in reference to the random cocktails he'd make for his friends to get drunk off of.

If you havent watched is Mortania series (sry ik i didnt spell it right), I definitely recommend. The many episodes of preparation were entertaining, and led to imo the best runescape video ever EVER made. Talking about the finale/the movie.

This series has been great, can't wait to see it finished! Quick tip for that last quest fight that may save some time: when I recently did it I found it possible to just stay near the shadow and as long as you arent taking much damage from it you can just wait till the special attack starts, then attack it and you get away just fine rather than actually killing it.

I started the series a week ago and I have been WATCHING the whole thing!! I can confidently say that when I started and saw a year ago on the first episode I was for sure this series would have been finish.. ho boy how I was wrong! I could appreciate the effort and time commitment but like what is the actual challenge here? He can do anything a normal UIM can do but he just has to farm xp between doing new activities

@@moe504 eventually he has to run out of tiles. His level gains have to be thought out. His plan has to be a good one. If not then you'll be stuck in a spot with no way to gain exp. He took an already hard mode and added about 50% more challenges to it. It's like saying what's hard about Pokemon Nuzlocks. You get the same pokemon, but the thought behind it is greater.

@@moe504 Yeah Tileman is basically an earlygame/start of midgame challenge (very hard when starting your account, need efficient/creative pathing), and then it devolves into just grinding a tad bit more/differently. If you keep playing a Tileman further than Settled's series will continue, eventually it becomes borderline 1:1 the same as a late-game iron. Source: playing a tileman up until late-game iron PvM era of the account with several skills maxed (not firemaking though ;P).

This series has really given me a newfound appreciation for OSRS. I'm an RS3 player and I let the obnoxious OSRS fans muddy my perspective on OS itself, and that wasn't fair of me. I kinda want to try it out myself now at some point, once I've got some more free time on my hands. Love the videos!
