It all depends on where you are in life. To some people 2k is no problem. To me its insane to drop that much cash.

@@WolfAvid I mean, compared to how much tech costs, esp. the popular ones or brand name tech, 2k for everything is a budget setup. It's one some people would have to save a bit/awhile for, but I wouldn't say it's insane. PIus, just cause the total value is around $2,000, doesn't mean they spent it all at once. Like, I saved for about a year to buy my $1,200 gaming laptop (with some help). The rest of my setup so far has been from gifts, cheaper random brands from amazon, and offerup. The value of the setup so far, including the gifts would be about $1,660, and with a general estimate of the stuff I still want to get for my setup, it'll probably be about 2k total (over the span of two years).

@@leelee714 Well... I would tell you if I could. I got an $80 PC from this old guy who didn't know much about computers and it had an i5, 8gb ram, 1tb hard drive, and a 300W psu. I just kept upgrading it. GTX 1060, 16 gb ram, 450W psu, ETC.

+1 on the desk first before set-up advice, I reused an old study table for my set-up and it doesn't fit everything that I need and cable management is a nightmare. I have to go get a new desk/make one from scratch for my set-up now.

I've put like 4-5k into my setup. Seriously not lying and I don't care for haters.
