People don't understand that singing is a whole body exercise. Depending on the choreography and what they have to do vocally (and when) vocalists really need to be mindful of how much energy they use and which body parts they move. It's not laziness or lack of skill. It's a matter of priorities. Sadly, fans underastimate singers across kpop. It's especially ridiculous considering how elaborate the choreographies are these days. But continually giving stable vocals performances is never praised as it deserves to be. It's not a given.

I know that we all think that seungmin is massively underrated (it is shame, I agree) but our boy is just doing fine. he has become irreplaceable part of Stray Kids and is hell-bent on consistently improving. with this much dedication that he shows he will have moments where he WILL shine. he has that in him. till then, all we can do is support our boy

seungmin is truly an all rounder! he can rap, sing, dance and he’s good at speaking and variety shows! i believe chan has said that seungmin is the best speaker in the group, so it makes sense that seungmin has done many mc jobs and sometimes gives a speech when they win an award! on top of that, he’s the best non-native english speaker in skz! another really admirable trait about seungmin is his diligence. when he had to step up to take over the main vocal role in skz, he really worked extremely hard and his progress over the years and improvement is so clear and amazing. idols have said that once you debut, it’s hard to work on skills and train because they are so busy and have barely any free time. despite stray kids’ busy schedule, seungmin has been taking vocal lessons and always practices hard and maintains his health in a way to prioritize his vocals. he’s also a self-care king 🥰 he knows how to take care of himself well and the members have commented on that as well as how he’s mentally strong. random fact: he brushes his teeth so well, that when he came to the dentist for teeth scaling, even the dentist said his teeth are so clean there’s nothing to do 😂

I heard Seungmin live and he really does have such a unique violin-like voice. I get that he holds back in group performances cause he wants to blend in more, like how Lee Know doesn’t go all out in dancing cause he doesn’t want to stick out. That shows how confident both of them are in their skills that they don’t feel the need to show off. Seungmin didn’t catch my attention right away but the more you know him, the more you love him. HE IS SO STABLE. And he can rap faster than Changbin and dance well while singing too without ever sounding shaky. He’s really good at dancing given that he is the main vocal and is probably one of the best dancers in SKZ outside of Danceracha. He really is underrated because he’s not super flashy but he is a really strong foundation for SKZ. He is the best English speaker outside of the Aussie line. His visuals are so clean and adorable. And he is hella funny too!! The only thing he lacks is core muscles 😂😂 SKZ are big fans of him and I hope he gets more recognition from STAYs and the general public even though he doesn’t act like he wants it. at awards shows, variety shows, I notice that bang chan always gets the word out to Seungmin. He always talks really well, whether it's introducing some music or just being funny and charming. It's beautiful to see the leader's trust in him and how he is worthy of that trust and goes beyond

SKZ prides themselves for always or almost always singing live, so as the main vocal, Seungmin prioritizes using energy more on leading the team in singing rather than using it on dancing. I have a theory that I don't know if it can be a fact or just a hunch, dancers with long limbs and legs looks good on dancing if they use both energy and control their limbs right, the opposite is what may others see if those two factors are not balanced. This is why Seungmin can be seen as not as good of a dancer while he is singing live compared to when he is not, that Backdoor fancam is a great showcase of his dancing skill.

Seungmin has such a nerdy/school boy vibe which what immediately drew my attention to him and personality-wise we’re kinda the same so I understand how his brain works which is why he’s my bias in SKZ.

Thank you for the wonderful compilation! I don’t particularly like to rank the members in dancing. I usually recognize that there is a dance line who are extremely talented and will often stand out a bit more or who will lead dance breaks but then the rest of the members are also dancing and keeping up with that high intensity choreography flawlessly as well. When it comes to Suengmin, I can clearly see he can dance. In fact, there are certain parts of songs where I personally like to focus on him. For example, the last part in Back Door where they do a kick-spin move. Most often than not, Seungmin is kicking the crap out of that air and still turns on beat. He is sharp and precise there when usually he dances a bit laid back when preforming. But I mean, he as to stay stable on stage. He exerts his energy vocally. I quite adore him. He’s made my struggle to pick a bias in this freaking group that much harder. I’m excited to see more of his growth as the kids got so much potential.

Truly, he has it all. Thank you for making a video including all of this, a lot of it (mostly his dancing and variety skills) are pretty overlooked.
