If you're lazy like me, just get the clip ins(skip the sew in) and crochet the top. For an extra bit of ummph you can do invisible crochet method on the top so you can have a part in the middle or left/right sides.

& I like to take out my hair frequently, so you can take down your clip ins, wash your hair , wash the clip ins, braid your hair back up, and re install the clips. The crochet leave out can be washed and refreshed too, or you can redo it (it doesn't take long after you get the hang of it)🥰

I'm blown AWAY at the look of this hair. I was literally looking at two U part kinky straight wigs I already own and thinking I don't want to deal with putting heat on my leave out. I do the same technique, it’s truly amazing lol but I still use human hair to crochet. However this time I decided to leave the TINIEST THINNEST slivering of my hair out at the parting, because as crochet grows out it just becomes more obvious.

Try french braiding the section where you add the crochet hair. It'll allow for a flatter section and will blend as the hair grows
