My neighbors have a Russian Blue that meows excitedly and runs to me when she hasn't seen me in a while. It makes a guy feel special. She actually gets mad if I don't stop and say hi. She isn't even my cat.

Sounds exactly like my neighbor's cat who's also a Russian Blue. Whenever I go over her place to visit he comes right up to me and swirls around through my legs while rubbing his head on me. They're my favorite breed.

Awww! You have been chosen 😼 I have a 3 year old Russian Blue and he is my shadow wherever I go. Out of all the people who visit us, he only gives like 20% of the attention I get to one other person. All the rest are ignored 🤭

I just lost my Siamese this past September 11, 2021. I'm so lonely for our conversations. Every moment I don't hear him is a reminder he's no longer here. Every time I say something and get no response is a reminder he isn't here. Every glance upon the air conditioner in the window, that empty space now, reminds me he is no longer here. I'll remember every day for the rest of my life. RIP Mr. Bojangles

@@joannp5806 Thank you for your words. No, it never gets any easier, as it shouldn't, given the people we are. I'm just getting to that age where I'm not sure I'd outlive another "man-cub", as I've always considered them. Me and Mr. B were supposed to grow old together. C'est la vie.

Right now as for me,I just don't think I can go thru another goodbye,and some times I don't know what is worse,saying that last goodbye,or living the rest of my life with out another pet. They fill that spot in our hearts and souls like no human ever can.🌹

Just wanted to say I also understand how you feel and I'm sorry for your loss. My Siamese girl died in a house fire not too long ago and one of the biggest things I miss about her is how chatty she was. I would talk to her all day long Lol!

I have an Abyssinian and you are spot on. He is the light of my life since my husband died. I know he misses Steve as well and was so loving, even more so than usual since. Finnegan the Abyssinian is a lovely little boy, but because I got so depressed and spent 19 months in my bed he got lazy and has a fat belly that I need to work on. They really are an amazing cat 🐱

Bruh I got a sphinx and he won’t shut up if I’m not by him. He just follows me around everywhere. He doesn’t get along with other animals or other cats. He only wants to be by me 247.

I had a pair of Sphynx males, littermates. They used to sleep under the blankets with me curled right up against me. They would do the same with each other in the cat bed. I was told this breed actually needs people in order to survive. All I know is they were the two finest cats I was ever fortunate enough to have and I miss them every day.

Make sure you have space in your home for them to climb. They need this otherwise they wouldn't be mentally well.

My DSH is clingy, chatty, loves to play fetch & is always playing in water. He looks like he's got a lot of Oriental Shorthair, tho - his body head & eyes look just like OSH. Never know, maybe your cat has the clingy gene somewhere in his background?

@@drunkensquirrel7545: I had a wonderful, wonderful black non-pedigree Oriental Short Hair. He was the sweetest cat you could imagine, great company and very beautiful. In short, there was nothing not to like about him. He died 8 1/2 years ago (lymphoma) and I still miss him.

I really think Bengals should have been on the list. I have one, that's so attached to my second cat (a Coonie) and me that he get's separation anxiety quite easily. He's the happiest little marshmallow when I'm just out in the garden with him. (and that's not only mine, they are known to be fixated on there family, etc.)

@@janav1270 I agree. I have a Bengal mix who thinks he’s a Border Collie 🤣. When he isn’t “herding me” around to do the things he thinks I should be doing, he’s yelling at me to sit down so he can nap on me. He’s such a cuddle bug!

Mine opens the bathroom door & sits on my lap while I “do my business”. And he won’t get off of me! He loves to ride our shoulders as well. 😻

Man, I wanna get a cat sooo bad! But I live by myself in an apartment and I work 24 hour shifts (Fire Department), sometimes 36hours (sometimes coming home in the evening just to wake up and go back to another long shift like that, though that's a bit rarer) so if I do get a kitty, I'd need someone who doesn't mind tooo much... but I really want them to be a lapcat when I am home! I'm half thinking of just going to the shelter and asking for the two oldest have been there the longest kitties that can look after themselves/keep eachother company, but still happy to be rescued...

I think they are the embodiment of the term "grotesquely cute." My sister had a sphinx and she was super friendly and loved cuddles. Even if to me, it felt like cuddling with a warm shammy cloth.

Do you want clingy, or do you want devoted? I befriended a stray Maine Coon Cat, said to be the most "dog-like" of cat breeds. It's true! We're country, so my cats are all indoor/outdoor, but if he's inside, he's relaxing within two paces of me. Not a lap-sitter, but super affectionate, talkative when he wants something, and a night-cuddler. He defers to my other cats, though he out-masses them by far. Just a genuine sweetheart!

My little sphynx boy follows me everywhere, I have a hoodie with a large pouch in it for him, if I’m sitting he’s in my lap, if I’m standing he sits on my foot. I would never change him for the world he’s my literal child ♥️♥️♥️ his name is Gunther.

The oriental shorthaired cats look like gargoyles. Those ears are gigantic. I grew up with a Siamese cat. She lived to be 21. Still my favorite breed of cat.

My Siamese, Rudy (as Rudy Valentino) used to bring me gifts all the time, and either drop at my feet or in my lap. Every time I think of him I cry inside...his TOTAL sweetness and love is so greatly missed!

My cat is OSH/Siamese and she is clingy and chatty. My favourite traits. My old Siamese was like this too. Working from home really helped my old cat cope with being sick. I was able to be with him all the time for his final year. Before wfh I had a 3 hour commute on work days. He was so lonely.

I adopted a tabby point Siamese off the street, it took about 9 months, and she was the clingiest, most snuggly cat ever. She wanted to be cuddled up with me 24/7 and if she heard you downstairs she would poke her head through the bannisters and call you up. Sadly she died of cancer, I miss her terribly.

I have four Siamese cats (2 Seal Points, Blue Point, Lilac Point). Once you get a Siamese you may never want another breed. They are super clingy, talkative, affectionate, they must be with their owners constantly and get jealous easily. They are very much a part of your life.

Yes becky got to simese. Simba 6 caspa 3 cannot close barthroom door they back chat they open thing including the fridge. Both sleep with me simba like tears from my face. And simba one person cat caspa likes people.

i had 2 siamese cats and i miss them dearly. as soon as i sat down they where on top of me. i truly enjoyed their trust and love. They are indeed very loud and will warn you of dangers. Screaming louder then a car-Alarm when a racoon climes on the balcony for instant . It will rattle your bones first time you hear it. They will stand in front of you hissing and making all kinds of noises if they don´t like your visitor. My cats even brought back little balls made out of Alu foil when you threw them . i always thought they are very smart , and i just realized how special it is to have such a deep connection with a Cat. I really do miss them so much

Maybe you could get another cat? When my 18 year old Devon Rex passed away, I was heartbroken, but I had so much more love to give, so I’m now the proud owner of a Cornish Rex, and he’s wonderful. (Check him out on my channel)

While the siamese segment went on about how vocal they where - my own just wouldn't shut up xD I love him, but they are a challenge for sure! Mine is currently unhappy because I won't let him eat the toxic plants.... cats are like toddlers that never grow up

My siamese decided to eat a bunch of lily leaves. Luckily they were the least toxic subspecies of lily but the poor baby had been having poopie problems for days until we found out what she was doing. She does meow an awful lot but I still have no idea what she wants half the time. Every time I have to go through the "is it food? no. want to go outside? No. Want to play? No. Want to cuddle? No. WHAT DO YOU WANT? I end up meowing back at her and we have a conversation lol

Russian Blues were crossed with Siamese during WWII to keep the breed going - they are also extremely clingy cats. We've had seven over the decades and they've all been the same. So gorgeous & so attached!

I grew up with Abby's. I've had a sweet Persian, a crazy Russian Blue, 1 fluffy Maine Coon, 2 sweet Rag Dolls, 3 amazing Oriental Shorthairs and 1 stunning Siamese. All incredible kitties for different reasons. My sweet Siamese girl died suddenly @ the age of 3 from renal failure. She'll always hold a special place in my heart. RIP sweet Malia. Bless

It's been about fifteen or twenty years since I had one, but I never realized that Siamese cats were like this... no wonder the one I helped rescue was so damn attached to me, even after being gone for five years... those little buggers *remember* shit well.

I had a Siamese growing up. We would go camping (in a trailer) for weeks in the mountains and we would pack up the two dogs and the cat and they would all have a great time!

My siamese has recently started to climb around my neck like a scarf, but its slow progress she begins in my arms then on my shoulder then under my hair then the other shoulder and slips back into my arms again.

Our Burmese girl Chacha is turning 11 soon, and although her sleek brown coat starts to get white hairs here and there, her personality is still pretty much kitten like. She would come when called, she would play fetch with toy mice, she would trot about after showing her brothers who’s the real boss of the house, and she would absolutely insist on sitting on the nearest human as if she’s made of velcro. It is impossible to peel her off you when she wants attention, and tbh we wouldn’t have it any other way :)

My Burmese was my most loving cat I ever had! He lived to be 19 1/2. Lived well for 4 1/2 years in Chronic Renal Failure. If yours ever starts soaking the litter box or can’t urinate, it could be CRF or an associated bladder/kidney infection. Subcutaneous fluids, meds, and diet/supplements can extend their life. A yearly bloodwork panel can catch it even sooner. Unusual energy or projectile bowel movements could be hyperthyroidism, another common, manageable feline disease, if caught early. Don’t delay, if you see any change. You may know all this…just letting you know what helped me get the most mileage out of my Burmese. He deserved it and more, for taking such good care of me and my family. 🤎

Another one to toss on this pile is the Chantilly Tiffany, our only peace and quiet is when our big male is sleeping, other wise he is all over us and never stops caterwauling and wanting attention. Although any attention given is returned with love and purring, he just needs to chill out but it's not happened yet in the 14 years we have had him, or he has had us.

My father had a Persian cat. She was the most antisocial thing. She never approached for pets or cuddles. She kept away from people, and if you tried to touch her, she'd leave and go somewhere else. And this applied to household members, too, not just strangers.

I have an oriental Havana girl, she’s super clingy, she gets very stressed if she can’t get to me. I can’t leave her very long. She’s extremely vocal too. She’s amazing

Devon rexes are another clingy cat, and they also have wild but great personalities; my profile pic is my Devon Rex, Leo and he follows me like a puppy everywhere; they are a little hard to find however (not a very common breed)

My Cornish Rex cats are pretty clingy,vocal, and love to snuggle. Their names are Willow and Lulu. They are my adorable cat children. I love them so much.

I would like to add Ocicat, which are a mix between Siamese and Abyssinian. Mine are very social, friendly and talkactive :) (but sometimes a bit shy to strangers, which I only think is good so that no one hurts/steal them)

I have a ragdoll and a British shorthair, both are very clingy and following me around the house 24/7 including the bathroom. The ragdoll is very vocal yelling at me for whatever that’s bothering her. I love them both dearly. 🥰😻

Let me share this. I am a wheelchair bound person who now has rare interaction with humans. My family rarely visits or checks on me. This type of love can be invaluable when humans wont. Consider this love a blessing it can be hard to come by. And if you dont want undying love, give them to people who do. And quit being so fucking selfish.

I had a long-haired Siamese, I'm always home. Disabled He was pissed when I wasn't home for 30 days. (I was in the hospital my dad came up to my apartment and sat with him for 3hrs. a day.) I had to put him down when he was 14 3yrs. ago, stopped eating & drinking with labored breathing

I had never seen a sphynx cat until recently. I couldn't believe how friendly they were! Two of them were at a friend's house. They acted like they had never met a stranger--both were all over me for attention.

I have a 10 year old ORIENTAL SHORTHAIR cat. He’s very much attached to me. He still loves to play like a young cat. He obeys better than any dog my parents had. He talks a lot and can be very loud and sometimes he has Diva attitudes. 😉🐈‍⬛😻

I got two cats from the same litter for this exact reason lol. They are Siamese/Ragdoll mix sisters and ALWAYS have to be around someone. These poor girls used to wait for me at the door the entire time I was at work. Since becoming adults they don't do this anymore but it always made me so sad. They still follow me around the house all day though. They are BEYOND vocal and like a crazy cat lady I talk to them all the time x'D

A couple of decades back I visited a cattery in So. California and the woman who ran it had taken in Ida Lupino's 2 Burmese cats. These two adored her and showed their gratitude by loving her up all the time. Apparently, they had come from a not so nice rescue where they were ignored and kept outdoors in cages along with lots of other Burmese studs. This made it clear to me that the way you treat cats can make a big difference. These were older cats and pathetically grateful.

I have a Tuxedo grayish tabby & white and she is so clingy and talks my head off and can't stand it, When I leave the house for just a bit, Sh'll be mad at me. lol

I've found that all the Persians I've had to be aloof and not clingy at all. I've had 3. Now all the Egyptian Maus I've had are clingy, active, intelligent and social. I've had 3, including the 2 girls I have now. I prefer the Mau.

My Bombay Black is also VERY clingy, interactive and talkative. A "one person" cat, she needs constant stimulation and is "velcro"'- like. Very loyal, gentle and loving, she wakes me every morning with a thorough facial tongue-bath. Perhaps the Burmese genes in this breed accounts for it? Wonderfully intelligent, curious and hyperactive!

Growing up with Oriental short-hair, I can sign under them being clingy and you can have deep conversations with, as for siamese. Oh boy, my late baby would cry if she couldn't join me into the bathroom, would sit in the middle of the room and cry for attention. Those two breeds has "ruined" my expectations for cats as 18+ years with two vocal cats, I miss having deep conversations that domestic cats sadly can't fulfill

You forgot a breed. Russian Blue cats are a 1 person kind of cat as well. I have one myself, and he is with me all the time. I work from home and if he is not sleeping on top of my computer desk then he is sleeping on the floor beside me. If I get up and go to another room he is always there with me. Sleeps beside me as well. They are a very intelligent, playful and vocal breed as well.

I've got a Korat. I call him the DogLion because not only does he follow me around everywhere I go (in front of me, in characteristic cat fashion), he obeyed sophisticated voice commands the first day I brought him home. I'd just lost my dog...I got little Felson at Shamrock (a halfway house between shelters & pet stores)...and I automatically told him not to scratch the toilet paper and gave him the "stay" command. Unbelievable! Also he is very devoted and cheerful, and he is extremely conversational in many types of vocalizations.

I have a little gray rescue cat not of any special breed and he’s very very clingy - any cat can be clingy - they don’t have to be an exotic breed - the exotics are beautiful but can cost a lot when deciding to buy/adopt one .

I used to have an Oriental - most talkative, affectionate cat I've ever had, who'd scrunch down to sleep behind me when I was sitting on my computer chair, or crawl under the duvet with me at night. I now have a crazy Burmese-Norwegian Forest cross kitten, who is extremely affectionate but also incredibly boisterous, energetic and playfully destructive! Favourite game is to steal toilet roll and spread shreds of it around the house...

I dont know the bread my cat was but was always somewhere near me at all times. Even if other members of the family were home he preferred to be by me. And if he felt I wasn't giving him enough attention he'd come up behind me pull himself up and start tapping on my back to get my attention.

We had a beautiful burmese cat for nearly 16 years, she was so loving, but also protective. She had two nicknames, nana puss, because she mothered our other cats, rabbit snuggled with us. Also pocket puma because she would defend her territory - even from the neighbours dog

We had a Siamese cat, and she was aloof. She didn’t vocalize all that much until she was in heat.

@4:27 looks just like our Luna. Burmese cats are incredibly dog like and very funny little characters. Ours are always attached to a lap, especially in the winter. Would love one of each of these cats!

I grew up with an Oriental Short-hair as my older brother. He was my parents' wedding gift and lived to 19. He was my mother's favourite, although she made a valiant effort to hide that from me and my sister. He was my father's favourite and nemesis because the cat used to wake him up by sneezing in his face six or seven times a morning.

I got 2 half wild kittens from same litter. They are not any special breed. 6 months after now, they are very affectionate, one is more clingier than other, always meows for attention. I think almost any kitten no matter breed can become clingy if you spend a lot time with them, especially if they r with humans from day they are born and held a lot.

Mine was with me like that from the second he was born,besides washing him, I did EVERYTHING for him. It's still like that with one exception he can clean himself now. His mama has more to do with him now though. He will be 4 months old this November 1st at 5:08 am. He was born in my lap.

I can totally recommend a Sphynx 🥰🥰🥰 I do also have a Ragdoll but she doesn't like to cuddle or be picked up.

@@ElysianFeilds93 I had a pair of Sphynx males, littermates. They used to sleep under the blankets with me curled right up against me. They would do the same with each other in the cat bed. I was told this breed actually needs people in order to survive. All I know is they were the two finest cats I was ever fortunate enough to have and I miss them every day.

@@ElysianFeilds93 my boy does I cant speak for all sphynx but from what I hear they like it, my boy Zuko loves to be carried like a baby and he loved being swaddled when cold and most importantly he loves kisses, about 200 minimum kisses per day

I have a siamese cat and he is so loving and talkative. We regularly have conversations every day and he will follow me around everywhere. But this video is right about them needing attention. He is very demanding!

I have two Oriental Shorthairs, they used to belong to my house mate but aftwr living with them for a year they chose me. They are very clingy and chatty. Absolutely love them ❤

Such an on point video. I believe the Ocicat , a mix of siamese and Abyssinian is beyond clingy and your description of both those breeds together describe my Ocicat to a tee

I have 3 female Tonkinese cats - half siamese, half Burmese, the most wonderful, loyal, sweet, amazing, cuddly, friendly, trusting, loving, stuck to me like velcro but in the most endearing beautiful way velcro puppy's in cats suits and each one bonded with my husband and I so deeply, ill always have Tonkinese kitties in my life.. theyve changed our lives. We are so very blessed to be loved by such angelic little souls.. and they are beyond loved & adored! ❤

My Ragdoll is definitely very clingy. Follows me absolutely everywhere, he wants to be in the way no matter what I do and cuddle all the time. Even tho it’s a bit inconvenient when he blocks my books or monitors for work, I can never say no to a cuddle 🥰

I feel like every cat I've ever owned has been clingy, but my Siamese have by far been the most vocal with their love!!!! I am also glad that I got 2 as well.

l've had a Siamese and he was not only very talkative, but he was VERY paternal to the other (not-related) cats. l think Cornish Rex should make a list too, l can't move for mine, they're constantly on my shoulders or in my face or on my lap, desk, keyboard, kitchen counter, etc

My dilute calico would qualify as THE MOST clingy cat that ever existed. She drooled, she thought that she was a dog. She cuddled like a puppy. She'd trail behind me down the street and stop and SCREAM at the corner as I rounded the block. She'd claw at my door. She'd scratch. She'd leave me dead animals - ALL OVER the patio. She played chase with rocks thrust into the canyon. She was the nicest cat on the planet. RIP Skitters :(

I have no idea what mix my cat is ( he was a stray and was separated from his mother at a very young age because she died ) but he is the clingiest cat ever. He follows me around the house and loves to cuddle . I am definitely his favourite person , he only really sits with me . My other cat is the loudest cat ever ! He never stops meowing for attention and for tuna . I'd be so interested in finding out their lineage 😂

Devon rexes are very closely related to sphynxes but in my experiences devons are clingier, my cat needs to be carried constantly and you cannot leave him alone at all
