Ben (Will Smith) is on the phone with 911, asking for an ambulance. He tells them there has been a suicide. He then remembers the accident that killed his fiancée. He dives in a bath full of ice.

Don’t give up. Your life has value beyond comprehension even if you yourself can’t see it. If you are one of the dozens of people in these comments contemplating suicide then start living your life as if it’s your last day. Do what you have always been to scared or anxious to do, live. Talk to that cute girl, approach that hot guy, go sky diving, connect with strangers. You are already at rock bottom, you’ve made it this far, it isn’t going to get worse and if it somehow does you will make it through. If you can’t keep living for yourself start living for others. Please don’t do it. Please, don’t. Even if you think nobody in this world cares, if you think nobody loves you, you are wrong. I care, I love you. Feel free to comment below. Together lets find reasons to live, lets not dwell on reasons to die. I’ve been there, some days I’m still there but life is short it will be over before we know it. Please don’t.

Your wife and four kids ever die in a house fire while you were out of town working? Not all suicidal people are sad looking emos. There's a huge difference between "ah my life sucks I'm so sad" and the very very intense life altering suffering that few can even comprehend without experiencing first hand. Regardless of whatever motivational nonsense the uninitiated might spout the simple truth is that not everyone who's going through it is gonna make it through it. Some crosses are indeed too heavy to bear. Even if you survive the kind of trauma I mean you'd likely live the rest of your life as a husk trapped in the past until the end.

This is a story of a man who ends his life because the pain he feels is far too great, the guilt is too heavy, and the burden on his soul is unfathomable. And you wonder why people are commenting on this video about their own troubles? Because when one feels like this, THIS is how it is. There is no other focus on anything else because the pain is too great. To those who do feel this way I acknowledge your pain, I acknowledge your fight that you have to make every single day. I don’t know what would help but what helped me is helping others and being there for other people in any way. Help people in absolutely any way you can. I hope this helps…

as i was 19 i had a crash same as this, not while i looked at the phone, it was because i was driving to fast. my bus turned over and it was exactly like in this scene but the difference is: id didn't die. thx to my gurdian angel i am stil here.

People still text and drive. My friend does 90 on the freeway while looking at his phone. And yes I feel unsafe while he does that so I just pray until we both make it back home

Lesson in this movie: Don’t text or look at your phone when driving as you are putting many lives at risk. You will never live the same nor be able to sleep knowing you took so many lives because of your negligent

Things always get worse before they get better. But they do get better. Sometimes you have to throw everything away, have faith in yourself and start anew. When we stretch ourselves too thin is when we find ourselves at our lowest. Start from scratch and focus on the things you can easily change for the better.

@lowlychrismarks I looked it up (Google) and I've copied & pasted what it said: "The jellyfish wasn't used to protect his vital organs from damage- he already had a tub full of icy water to take care of that. The reason for choosing to die by stings from one of the most deadliest, most venomous jellyfishes in the world was two fold: Any other method of death would result in damaging/stopping his vital organs rendering them unfit for donation. And Death by getting stung by this particular jellyfish (Box jellyfish) is very painful. It fits with his whole redemption scheme (Choosing to donate his bone marrow without being sedated is another example). Tim feels he deserves such a death after having killed those six strangers and his fiancée in the car crash."

I’m considering going out in a less selfish view I guess. Recently had a friend who woke up brain dead (other circumstances not noted). Very sad, yet brought a nice thought as he was an organ donor. It was said 8 of his organs were going to needed recipients. In such a tragedy, hope also emerged. I want that for my end. Life loss but life also given back to others and their families. It’s the most accomplished thing I can do for this world. I haven’t begun full research, probably won’t be for a couple of years as I’m leaving a lot behind. CcMy question or advise asked is what is the best way to leave your body, while maintaining some vital organs for donation to others? I’ve seen the movie 7 pounds? With Will Smith where he essentially uses a Jelly fish to sting him and lead to cardiac arrest giving some time for paramedics / doctors to process the organs, is there another said way without procuring a jellyfish? Thanks all.

All I can say, is that by my experience you shouldn't do it. Trust me life is harsh and will beat you regardless of how much you're going though. I attempted 2 times and they both failed and I'm glad they did because one thing I noticed was that when I woke up it would've been my youngest sister and mom who would've found me. That struck a really deep meaning because I know they would not have been able to stay strong. Keep your head high because whether you think so or not there's someone who loves you and someone you will devastate with this news

Irresponsible to put the jellyfish in the tub! He put the paramedics’ life at risk. He should have had the container on the floor and put his hand in the container (also he needed to secure the container so it couldn’t fall)
