I’m 14 years old. I never in my life listen to hard rock, hard metal, just rock in general I thought I couldn’t never get into this type of music. Lajon is metal's most powerful vocalist. No other metal singer has the presence, melody, and soul that he does. No other metal singer can grab you with their voice like Lajon can. Just my opinion.

One of my favorite shows of all time was opening band Travesty Theory Skindred Nonpoint and Sevenfust (headlined) @ Jannus Landing St. Petersburg Fla. Before the show,. I personally met lead singer Lajon Witherspoon. Politist person I've ever met and extremely proud to say that. Awesome live band. Awesome live song of SPLINTER

My first concert was Sevendust and Drowning pool in Wisconsin in 2002. Sevendust played Angel's Son for the first time, before the album was even out. Just thought I'd share how awesome that concert was and how kickass Decay is.

Years ago when 30 seconds to mars first came out they opened up for 7d and fire Marshall shut down club like 3 songs into 7d set. At end of tour they had a fan appreciation night for like 5 bucks back at bigger venue in town and it was insane. Hands down best band and fans

Confession: I remember hearing about Sevendust years ago thinking they were a gimmick with a black singer. I never really gave them a listen and yet liked one or two songs and didn't get much more exposure.. I couldn't have been more wrong. Saw them play in 2016 and Sevendust is easily in my top 10 of bands now! It's like I'm catching up on great TV series but I'm stoked they are still touring .. amazing. Lajon, Morgan, Clint, John, Vinnie .. thank you for slowing me down. :D

That's kind of my point. They did deserve it, just from the amount of time they have put in. I totally disagree on Cirice being better than Thank You. Went back and listened to them both, and you can clearly hear the band with more difficult progressions, and a far better vocalist. Opinions vary though, and maybe Ghost has better songs, but that chord progression in Cirice is pretty basic. Singer is a bit whiny.

+5urg3 yeah, thats their style. Didn't like it at first for the same reason you said. Thats why I totaly undesrtand you. But after listening to it 3 or 4 more times, it grew in me. And thats what ive seen happens with almost all first listeners, then they begin to like it more and more. I also thought It would have been cool to se sevendust win, they seem such nice persons, and have a long time in this. To end my point, I respect your taste and opinion. As you said, its up to personal thought.

Sevendust is the epitome of a hard working, long standing band. Every album is worked on until it's exactly what it is, Perfect. These guys have lasted through the rise and fall and rise again of Metal in Atlanta. Every band out of the Southeast region not only bow to these guys, but owe any success to them. Now you also have to look at their shows. They WORK those shows. They leave the stage completely drained because they bring 100% every single time. Look at Rock on the Range last year. They completely stole the show as soon as they hit the stage. They had the fans from the front to the back bouncing with the music. It was mesmerizing. Also, don't compare singers. It doesn't do any of them justice. They all bring something to the table. LJ brings the soul to metal, but when it's hitting hard, he can bring the hardness also. Yes, these guys should have won a Grammy (mind you, I don't watch that crap), but also a Life time achievement award for how long they have been standing strong as a band.

Sevendust always brings it. I have been a fan since "Black" was released at the beginning of their career. Saw them in TX with Marilyn Manson years back, and they stole the show. Great musicians, great showmanship, and great people.

Reminds me a lot of the Home album, and as a fan of Sevendust's first two albums...this is a very good thing imo. Also, Lajon still looks like he hasn't age a bit, it's true that black don't crack.

Always said.... These guys are cool as FAWK... I heard this while I was in the pen.... Then I heard their arts from 99-00 ... These guys are raw.... I didn't really listen to this... This put me on the hook and Sevendust did what they say in this... These guys are amazing. Thought dude was white, too. Looks like Predator. All of 'em are gun't in.

I have been to a few concerts here in Aotearoa (NZ) and the show you guys put on 2 days ago was off the hook and the best one I have ever experienced! I enjoyed it so much I'm still buzzing!! Waited a looong time and was definitely worth the wait :D Was so awesome meeting you all. Thank you again!!

There are many black people in metal. God Forbid, Straight Line Stitch, Killswitch Engage(Howard Jones), Bionic Jive and Skindred to name a few. Even the rapper Ice Tea formed a metal band in the early 90's. The fact is the genre has incorporated people from all races, nations and religions. Don't believe the stereotypes

ive just started listening to sevendust 1 year ago and love them. I knew about them but never heard their music. I am glad i did. They are my favorite band out there.

I first saw these guys live at Guavaween in Ybor city on Halloween in 2002. I crowd surfed in a goblin mask and costume and have been a fan ever since. If you are a racist please feel free to wash your mouth out with buckshot! Bown Down because Seven dust owns with this song.
