the vid made me really emotional so, oversharing! growing up in a relatively abusive parental relationship, i ended up developing crippling anxiety that's constantly at war with my almost obsessive, almost compulsive need for being perfect for and to everyone. the thing is, even though I'm the youngest in this household, after my dad left (when I was about eighteen, not too long ago), the weight of keeping my house standing fell really strongly on my shoulders and managed to trick myself into a routine relatively quick to get a job. also, bit of background, i fell into the kpop rabbit hole in late 2016, and ever since 2017 i knew i really liked seventeen (both the people and the music), but even when i did want to stan them, for some reason i never got into it. THE POINT BEING, and sorry for the unnecessary autobiography to whoever happens to read this, i eventually lost the job i mentioned above and it was a mix of feeling like a failure and being relieved for not having to leave my house. but, fast forward some time, i got a great opportunity and (after 4 days of obsessively consuming SVT content) finally got it for sure today. i lit spent the rest on my bed, shaking and unable to breathe, until this video. it wasn't music, it wasn't watching a tv show, it wasn't reading or writing; i managed to relax after fourteen hours of manic behavior when i watched this seventeen video. thanks to you, dear creator. and thanks to the boys, for unknowingly being such a safe space. i can't wait to get to know them more.
