His name is Kim Samuel, he was the youngest member trainee with Seventeen when they were still trainees but he did not debut because he was like 11 years old then and his mum was a bit concerned (pls correct me if I am wrong). Most of seventeen joined pledis when they were in middle school and trained for 4,5,6 years and the whole green basement(Melona room) came during the live stream that their company started as 17tv to showcase them and monitor them before their debut which lasted from 2012 to 2015 and pledis was indeed struggling and going through bad times which caused their debut to delay as well.( It was a very tough time for them but at the same time it made their bond the strongest)

Samuel is still in touch with Seventeen members, he was in chinese show with The8 and Jun few years ago, they also met in ISAC and Seventeen will always treat him like their maknae baby. This is also why they don’t treat Dino as baby of the group, it will always be Samuel.

I will share a little bit my experience way back then when "Green Room/Melona room" started. First I was fans of After school, and many pledis artist, back then pledis doesn't have any male trainee, and the first trainee was Jonghyun then baekho from Nu'est ((Seventeen older brothers before they disband)). Scoups was also like first generation of pledis boys ((pledis trainees)), he was actually will be debuting with nu'est but it's not happening. So he later joint with other pledis boys trainees like hoshi, woozi ((this is the 2nd wave that joining pledis)).. After Nu'est debut they actually wanted to debut another boygroup called "Tempest", this is consist scoups, hoshi, woozi and two other trainee. But cancelled.. And then in 2013 suddenly there's a teaser of Seventeen tv, and this is where all the pledis boys getting introduce ((scoups, hoshi, woozi also there)).. I think their first broadcast is on Christmas where suddenly I saw all these kids acting like theater club lol.. The first episode there's like 7/8 member, because they're speaking korean of course, most people from international (including me). We don't understand a sh*t mwhahaah, It's feel like watching a bunch of children always talking ((yes from the start they never stop talking lol)) without subs 😂. We identify them by the outfit or something they bring, like that "binnie hat" ((this is wonwoo 😂)).. And this is live stream mind you.. I forgot how many episode, but at the end of season they usually have like mini performance, like what you do in High school. So they perform in front of small audience.. On the first season their performance, that actually when I realize, they will HIT BIG later when debut.. Because I never see a performance so perfect, and synchronized like that.. They actually prepare the show by themselves... This is the reason why right now Seventeen always have an incredible performance whenever they on stage, and when rookie they don't have stiffness... The reason why seventeen tv have many season, it's because pledis keep pushin back their debut.. Just imagine waiting from 2013 until finally 2015 they debut... They actually parody their melona room on caratland lolol.. I also have a proof, I"ve been on their predebut days, you can check on my channel.. that's just a little bit clip I cut back then.. Because pledis never upload the full version, only highlight. Oh yeah beside doing seventeen tv, they also have like radio but we can called it podcast, in afreeca tv. When hoshi and seungkwan as VJ.. then DK is like the regular guest there.. and this is where BSS born 😂..

I am kinda surprised that they made out of the melon prison that green room without missing any part of their body, it was surprising everybody was fine and They were training for going seventeen mainly😂

seventeen green room (or melona prison) content comes from their predebut 17tv “show”. the room was the old pledis practice room, and the company set up multiple cameras all livestreaming to ustream at the same time. the streams started christmas 2012 and ended mid 2014, and there’s hours upon hours of live untranslated content from this era lost to the internet. for the name, the original plan was to debut a 17 member group with an average age of 17 in 2013. the most they had a one time was 16 members, but as people left and the company struggled, the debut kept getting pushed back further and further. there were 4 other regulars on 17tv who were potential members but eventually left; jang doyoon, yao mingming, shin dongjin, and kim samuel (the little kid in 17tv, he was 10-11 at the time)

12:12 fun fact! The "Ha!" Song is Catellena by Orange Caramel who are a super fun 3 member subunit from the group After School, who are actually seventeen's seniors since their also from Pledis! Several seventeen members actually show up in the background of one of Orange Caramel's MVs. And Orange Caramel (a 3 member subunit with the funniest members) is honestly the predecessor to BSS!

this videos are from their live broadcast trainee days... it had 5 seasons since 2013 (they stop when they prepared they debut). there's some kids who didn't make their debut because they leave... if you notice, there's no Minghao (The 8) here because he join them in season 5 (the last season). Did you really watch the guide. Like it said in guide there was supposed to be seventeen members at first but it didn’t work out so they made up the 13+3+1 thing to equal 17.
