I'm super lazy when it comes to ends, so I just weave/loop them in the back loops of the row I'm going to work over and stitch over them.

Hi! I made a version of mine weeks ago and almost gave up with the brim, got stuck with trying to recreate it so much but I kinda ended up just doing my own thing to make it work with the yarn I use (acrylic). The material used for their hats, I believe is called raffia yarn/straw. It's very stiff when worked up so it's really good for beach hats.

OMG I love it, looks like the love child of a jellyfish and a bonnet 😂 SO MANY ENDS! I think the cotton yarn is not stiff enough to make the brim that shape. They probably used some special yarn, or dipped the hat in starch, dunno... 🤔
