about your question ab how much they make. so in kpop, because they often train for several years in order to debut, they rarely make a lot of money in their starting years. the company spent its money on the trainees so after they debut, the profit is given back to the company. in 2021, it was estimated that they made a revenue of 7-10k. not that much :/

Idols don't make much money generally from music (they get a small percentage and that has to be split amongst the members and the Label and producers, ect get a lot), most of their profits actually come from doing ads/sponsorship deals and concerts. The clothes they wear in shoots or videos or even often at the airports as they get photographed a lot are sponsored and rhey wear it once or twice and it goes back to the sponsor or stylists. Many more popular idols with larger fanbases make more money and can afford luxury items but many luxury items they own were given to them as gifts by sponsors or by their fanclubs. So while sime more popular groups can make good money - it's mostly from other things unless they're MASSIVE group like EXO ect. MOST idol groups go bankrupt within the first few years after debut before you, International fans and most of the Korean gp probably know of their existance. Very difficult Industry to make a break in and very sad how many talented people never get ANY recognition... Idols sign a contract when joining a Company that kinda leaves them in debt. Since the Company pays to have them trained and puts them in dorms and feeds them - kinda like how people go off to uni - it costs the company a lot of money, an investment. Usually when a group debuts all the money first goes back to the Company until all those 'investment' fees are paid for and only after that the idol will get a paycheck. So some idols only get their first paycheck 1 - 3 years after debut (some smaller groups go bust and bankrupt before then...) so yeah, you have to consider that as well...
