This song is my new favorite SVT song. Woozi (does ths intro ) is their Main Producer and Vocal Team Leader. He wrote and produced this with help from Bumzu (in house producer), and August Rigo. Woozi is a BIG Anime fan and you can see part of the choreo and lyrics be connected to Goku 😊 like Goku`s Transmission, his Kamehameha, the nimbus aka goku's flying cloud, his Staff aka the "power pole" and etc. This song also refers to the Monkey King (Sun Wukong aka Son Ogong) which Dragon Balls was inspired by. FUN FACT Son Ogong is the korean name for Goku as well. There are 13 members + 3 Subunit (Vocal, Performance, & Hip Hop) + They make 1 team = 17. Each unit has a leader but they all usually work together with S.coups being both the MAIN leader and Hip Hop leader. They also have been a group since may 2015 and this is their 10th mini album.

Son Ogong is the Korean name for Son Wokung (Monkey King) from the Chinese Myth Novel: The Journey to the West. In Japan it is the infamous Son Goku of Dragon Ball Z so more likely if you noticed the references in Choreo to the lyrics they more likely talk How them being Son Goku/Son Wokung. BTW they are 13 members

😂😂At first it looks like it's impossible to learn the names but then you realize as you get to know them that there aren't really many. 4:26 He's a woozi, he produced (he's Seventeen's biggest producer) and he composed the lyrics along with other members. The meaning of the song was inspired by the Chinese mythology of the monkey king *Journey to the West* as well as by the Dragon Ball anime, the name Sonogong has to do with Sun Wukong and well also with Son Goku (as I understand it) and it makes sense because in the end of the song says "This is the cartoon's credits song" along with a movement that Goku makes when launching his last and powerful attack (when he gathers the energy and raises his arms) Anyways, thank you sooo much for reaction to Seventeen and welcome to the diamond life ^^/♡

where'd you hear that they're 8?. SEVENTEEN has 13 members 😭😭 i've heard of them being expected to have 17 members and it's a first that i've heard someone say 8 members.😂 also, i'm thinking you were curious of the MV due to the relationship of the song to Dragon Ball? Sonogong (korean) = Son Goku (anime/ japanese) = Son Wukong (chinese) there are a lot of reference to the anime. the cloud, the pole weapon ( more on the chinese ver.), the transmission, the shadow technique thing-hence 200+ dancers (from the chinese ver.), energy sphere, the clothes (combination of anime and chinese ver.), maybe the ripple effect of the choreo is based on the movemnet of goku's clothes whenever he goes super saiyan. and many others that were still yet to be discovered. Woozi's the one who produced the song btw, together with Bumzu and others. He's the one sitting on the throne in the opening scene. he's also into anime so the referencing to Dragon Ball makes sense.
