Obviously people didn't listen to her interview on the breakfast club...she said she has grown as an artist and she believes her fans can grow with her as well. She's an amazing artist she can switch up her sound she doesn't always have to do a ballad. nooooo sevyn... Sevyn Streeter was a breath of fresh air when she first came out. This sounds like every other song I hear on the radio 😣. Imma still support though, cause she's the true definition of an artist in my opinion. I just hope she doesn't try to conform to what's getting air play too much and no longer sound original.

The sample at the beginning of this video is from a song entitled "When the Revolution Comes" by The Last Poets. It's track number 11 on the group's debut spoken word album entitled "The Last Poets". The album was released in 1970. The Last Poets is the name for several groups of poets and musicians who arose from the late 1960s African-American civil rights movement's nationalist movement. The name is taken from a poem by the South African revolutionary poet Keorapetse Kgositsile. The song by The Last Poets inspired "Party and Bulls__t" by the Notorious B.I.G. which was released in 1993. Producer Easy Mo Bee said he used to play The Last Poet's cassette tape in his car while driving around with Biggie Smalls. That's where Biggie got the idea for his debut single.
