I couldn't agree more, it was so special to have him with me! I can't wait to see how the purple and green sock yarn turns out. What pattern did you use for your sweater with red yarn? I'm thinking of maybe a Petite Knit pattern, but also curious about a crochet sweater... I'm too indecisive. I'm with you, I like the lighter color unspun yarn too. And I'm interested to knit with it and see how it works up, but I think you hold 2 strands together to "strengthen" it and it shouldn't break much... Time will tell :) And thanks so much for your suggestions, I hadn't considered a vest, but I'd be interested in that as well if I don't have enough. It was so hard not to over-buy, but the main thing keeping me from spending more was the space. I knew I had to get it home and didn't want to pay overweight bag fees.
