You can also use tissue paper (facial tissue or regular tissue) beneath thin knit fabric. It tears out easily afterward and gives the feed dogs some traction.

I'm so glad you did this for all those without sergers. Too many preach you have to have one. I'm sure they are fun but it's nice to have some one say a sewing machine will work

What size did you choose? I know you said at end of video you will size up so trying to decide which to cut. Love the top on you.

Top looks lovely - what is the fabric you used? It is really nice.

Dianna, I notice that you didn't back tack (reverse) your needle when starting and stopping. Won't that cause the thread to unravel later on? Also, when you suggested using a ballpoint/stretch needle or universal needle, there are different sizes. What size needle would you recommend? How would I know what size to use for my project?

I used to sew knits on sewing machine before i had serger, it's totally possible. I have a question about serger tho. Is there a way to make it less laud? It's shaking the table and waking up my kids when I'm trying to use it at night lately 😂
