Sweater weather is upon us... I’m sure you’ll do great! If my love made this for me. I’d probably never take it off. Lol 😂 just don’t think too hard about it. Jump in, let love and the inspiration be your guide. That fabric is very forgiving as long as you don’t stretch it while sewing. Using clear thread also helps hide the stitching. If you still don’t feel confident about your stitch work. Best of wishes to you, and your wife.💜

Let's just do the maths on this, shall we: Extra fluffy coat + Mom seeing it and loving it + sped-up hug + dancing with an excited dog = *CUTENESS OVERLOAD!!!* I once bought my mom a coat for Mothers' Day, and she was so proud of it. Now I'm inspired to actually _make_ one for her. Goals and pressure!

If only for warmth, its so fluffy theres no real point to sinch it in for aestetics.

"If it doesn't match up perfectly, that's okay. I just end up trimming anything that is sticking out later, and make it work." Love it. Exactly my experience, working with fleece. Also love how you just hack away with full confidence, and it comes out perfect. I wanna be able to do that.

Just what I need, an easy pattern for a warm housecoat. I have an a little used bed quilt which is 15 years old and want to repurpose it as a housecoat. Your tutorial is ideal and I will only have to cut one layer. 😊

You’re so lucky to have a mom that loves, and will wear what you make her! My mom is rather picky so although she likes what I make she may not like it on her. Lol She has been wearing a skirt I made her a lot which makes me very happy.

This looks so comfy and I would love to have one for cold days but where I live I can imagine I would come to loathe it because it would make me miserably hot. It just simply doesn’t get cold enough here to wear it without having a heat stroke. Winter hardly exists here so it would probably never get worn. If I ever move somewhere cold, I will absolutely make one because it just looks so amazing

Made this. It looks amazing. I was really scared because fabric was so expensive, but it turned out great. I did try cutting the hood on scrap fabric since that was the most difficult for me to duplicate. Good thing since I had to try couple of times. I did line my pockets with cotton piece and added cotton piece to the backside of fleece to make pockets stronger. Really debated seam tape too, but didn’t. I am new to surging so it was a grand experiment.

You could even make the bear ears reversible so you can just poke them through to the right side depending on which way you wear it
