Debbie that is the cutest little bag! I too have a sweet sewing machine that does a lot of things. It does make life a little easier. But if you don't have one. I find that Debbie does show ways of doing things without the fancy machines. Which is why I love her videos. And it's the way I would of taught it except I would of took the time to top stitched around the top. 😊 (Not sure why I through that in there but I did.) This is Debbie's show, she does it her way and it's a wonderful way too. Happy Sewing!

Sublime Stunning Fantastic. A great tip to cut the heart. Never dreamt that a straight line at widest side of the curve would make a PURRRFECT heart. Sew many tips to cut and sew the heart bag. Your videos are exceptional coz you explain from the beginning of the project up to the end. Just in case you needed help there was your assistant ready to give a paw. I'm surprised he didn't run away with the buttons or the strap. I really LOVED this tutorial. Just impatient to try this. Kitty in your arms was so sweet. Thanks for sharing and caring. Hugs 💟👍👍👍

This is beyond cute! Your teaching style makes a complicated project manageable. I would like to attach a magnet clasp. Are they just sewn on like the buttons? You need to make two little holes and push the prongs of the magnetic snap thorough, then open them out at the back. Glad you liked it!

I love your videos. I really appreciate that the videos have very little editing. Or a new sour this helps a lot in realizing that there will be complications. A lot of videos cut the unexpected complications. I learn so much from how you deal with the unexpected mishap. I know now that a missed seam is not a reason to sound like a drunken sailor. Hi Debbie, thanks for posting this lovely video. Could you please tell me where you purchased the fabrics and the square button? I usually use Sellotape to secure the button prior to sewing it on by machine, then tear I it away, it works a treat.

this will be my next project.........love your cat, he/she is beautiful, and what a loud pur!.....wondering if you get the same problem as me, as soon as i get the sewing machine out 1 of my cats tries to eat the thread, he also attacks any material that is on the table, while my fluffy cat like to sleep on any material, the little cat likes to sleep leaning on the back of the sewing machine while i am sewing. they make my life interesting for sure

I think the like to lay claim to everything by sitting on our sewing, I have to be so careful with thread, and any raw edges as my blue boy likes to eat thread....a couple of years back he ate thread from the raw edge of material i had cut, and ended up in the vets needing an operation, which cost £500 and a lot of worry. I cried the whole day until he was back home with me.....and he hasnt learnt his lesson, he still tries to grab the thread off the sewing machine when i am using it. I am trying to sort out a room that i can call my sewing room, but its taking time. Ive moved in to my mums, she died in August so I cant do much until probate has gone threw....Its a slow process. this is why i am sewing a lot to help keep my mind busy, its helping me by distracting me from the grief.

Seeing your cat reminded me , I haven't seen your dog lately. I also love all your videos. I never miss any. To sew the buttons on, don't you have to tie a knot in the back of the button to keep it secure by using a sewing machine?

The knot is a very good idea! Alfie sadly passed away last month, there's a big dog shaped hole in my sewing room!

I an truly sorry about Alfy. My beloved dog Shadow was with me for 18yrs, I know how you must miss him. I love all of your vids, I'm new to sewing and trying to improve, you help a lot. It's a little harder being a man who wants to sew who grew up in the old days of " men don't do that" You took wood and metal shop in school, you never cooked or sewed!

Hi Edward, wow! 18 years is a good old age! Now when I was at school I wanted to take metal and wood work, had to do cooking and sewing, things could have worked out so differently! Glad you're enjoying the sewing now though!
