*Differently* skilled. I have a friend who spins and weaves, so she makes her own outfits from start to finish. I'm happy to let her have that win, since I have other things I am good at that she cannot do. It's the balance of skill/educating yourself on technique/and making enough mistakes you learn how to do a given thing. You are an expert at something different, no matter what it is. Please don't insult yourself just because someone has different skills than you do.

@@taritangeo4948 Yes, you are. Maybe you can't see it. Maybe you aren't aware of it. Everyone has a skill in something; just because it isn't obvious, doesn't mean it's not valid. Maybe you can make the most amazing cup ramen ever, or fold sheets faster, or remember all the words to a song. Maybe you're an expert at creative excuses, or you can bake the most fantastic cookies, or make a bed (either from scratch, building it, or just putting clean sheets and blankets on it) faster than anyone you know. I knew a guy who could make, weigh, and prepare pizza dough faster than anyone else. He won an award for it at a statewide competition. It's not a highly useful skill, but it is a skill and I was happy for him to have that one, since he saw it as something he had learned that helped him in his job and also kinda made other people happy. There is something you can do that is better, faster, or unique. Whatever it is, claim it and be proud. I know that I'm proud of you for being willing to say you don't have a skill on the Internet, but that, too, is a skill. I hope you have a great day!

@@goldengryphon Hey Gryphon, I know this is old as hell but thank you. I always pity myself over things I want to but cannot do and this made me reflect on things I am pretty good at like English (in my country it's rare to sound like me when speaking English because I have a different accent) and a little bit of singing and horse riding. So again, thank you. Brought a little tear to my eye. Hope you're doing well :)

This is the sort of stuff I used to do as a teenager. Then I had enough sewing classes to learn that you can’t make clothes properly that way. So I stopped working without a pattern. Moral of the story - too many sewing classes are a bad thing! This is fabulous stuff. I was shocked and delighted by how well that first dress fit. Inspiring creativity.

You did not make a mess. You made cloths that you wanted to wear and you got better at it as you went along. Since a lot of the designs were popular during my childhood, all I expected to learn was what you wanted the cloths to look like. You had fun making them and modeling them and I had fun watching you. I started learning how to put fabric together and decorate it in the early 1940s. In the late 40s and early 50s I really learned to sew. Thank you for bringing back childhood memories.

I absolutely adored that play suit! Those shorts looked really good on you! If I am being honest, I would probably ditch the apron and just wear it as is, but obviously you do you. Regardless, everything you made looks great! Well done, Karolina!!

I think this is AWESOME! You are too modest. I made a cute little Frontier "buckskin" outfit for my little boy when he was in kindergarden by having him lie down on the fabric and cutting around his body! Same with his tunic. And it turned out adorable. You give so many good sewing tips such as on the bodice to allow for the gathers.

This was eye opening. For a few months now I had a dressing problem - every now and then I noticed some middle-aged or older man wearing a really cool shirt, but then when I went to a ciucholand (used clothes' shop) the patterns never resembled what I was looking for. There were also no shirt with inside pockets, and I found those to be incredibly useful. Your video inspires me to make my own shirt, using the one I bought some time ago instead of buying overpriced 80s garment that needs maintenance anyway. I sadly have no sewing machine, but I'm already used to torturing my hands from hours of clothes and gear repair using a needle.

I'm really feeling this video right now. My mom's friend gave my mom a dress, but my mom doesn't really feel it, so now I have it. It's really pretty, it's a yellow 70's looking dress with a more modern look to it. Plus it's got white flowers on it too. I've never owned anything that looks vintage, and I love it so much.

Very creative; very well done! I'm old enough to remember what the fashions looked like from the late '40s into the '50s. Yours look authentic. I couldn't tell if you were wearing a slip, but they were essential whenever wearing a dress or skirt of any kind, except for your summer shorts with overskirt outfit. Well done!!!!!!!!!!
