It's so nice to see you again Kenneth. I love listening and watching you. I seet Wendi Gratz in her "Intraux to Faux Fur - the Basics" turns the fabric over and uses scissors to cut through only the backing. This way she has minimal fur bits flying around, and it minimizes the amount of fur that gets cut off. She also makes sure she brushes the fur towards the garment interior before sewing the seam.

I purchased a gorgeous faux tiger print with plans to make a simple, flannel lined coat adding wool batting for warmth. The fur is a medium pile, super soft, BOLD orange and black, and I'm dying to start. However, since I've never worked with faux fur I procrastinate. I don't want to mess up or destroy the fur (it was not super expensive but not cheap either). I've watched many videos of how to sew the faux fur, but am still VERY cautious. Any suggestions or advice when it comes to the flannel lining and/or the wool batting???
