I know there are many excellent industrial straight seam sewing machines that create spectacular even stitches. I love the selection of sewing feet as they are superior to what any domestic machine provides. When the sewist is attaching the two layers of the back yoke, I prefer your method rather than the 'burrito' method I've seen for home sewers. It was interesting to see how the sewist pressed some of the yoke piece seam allowances before actually sewing them in place.

When starting to watch this, I glanced at the first comment saying, “I’ve been a tailor in N.Y. For many years…”, giving such a complimentary review. The background music was distracting and I was about to stop watching, but because of that one review, I stuck it out a little longer and saw that the music stopped, and I ended up enjoying the resort of the video which was made so well, and taught me a lot about the importance of straight edges while pressing, and lots of other great tips. Thanks!

Unless I've missed this in other garments you've made, I haven't seen you press so many seams and key pattern pieces in advance of starting to sew before. I think this is a fantastic way to show how high end industrial sewing can be done in such a professional way. Your entire production staff are highly skilled in determining how to optimize this method. I assume you're using a type of interfacing that is not readily available to the home sewist. The final shirt looks very high end and I love the shade of blue.

Why do you use the plastic strap between the foot and the cloth while stitching in some places? Excellent tutorial, thanks a lot.

The white strap is a plastic strapping band and often used for packing work. In areas with thickness, there may be unevenness at the presser foot, causing the pressure and feed teeth to be less stable than usual. To increase the pressure and stabilize it, we intentionally use this strapping band to raise the height of the presser foot. This is also useful for straight guide line. Thank you!

Bom dia!! Você quer dizer a pulseira branca transparente? A pulseira branca é uma faixa de plástico frequentemente usada para trabalhos de embalagem. Em áreas espessas, pode haver irregularidades no calcador, fazendo com que a pressão e os dentes de alimentação sejam menos estáveis do que o normal. Para aumentar a pressão e estabilizá-la, usamos intencionalmente esta faixa para aumentar a altura do calcador. Isto também é útil para linhas guia retas.

@@johnfinley6785 Hi. As explained in the video, the PDF patterns we provide are designed to be printed using Acrobat Reader. When printing with Acrobat Reader, a margin is automatically set, so you need to reduce the scale for printing. A4 size: Print in "A4 size" and "Page Sizing & Handling - Custom Scale: 95%" A3 size: Print in "A3 size" and "Page Sizing & Handling - Custom Scale: 96.5%"

@@ateliersaison Yes I understand, I have followed instructions and used both PC and Mac with the same results with no complete right margin. Will keep trying don't know what else to do except take to shop

@@johnfinley6785 Hmm... I can't figure out the cause of this issue. We tried printing on multiple PCs, and all of them printed normally. If you print the PDF pattern at 95% size using "Microsoft Print to PDF" and the PDF file displays correctly at 95% size (including all margins), then you may need to review the printer settings. Other possible solutions include: - Uninstalling Adobe Acrobat Reader and installing the latest version. - Updating the printer driver to the latest version. These are the only suggestions I can think of. I hope you can print successfully.
