It depends on your machine. My old machine, even with a walking foot shifted the fabric, my new one keeps everything in line. Do a placemat first to see how it does-

Nice single block. IF you had sewn those last triangles before cutting, you'd have hsts for something else instead of scrap. After a LOT of blocks to make a whole quilt, you'd have a good stash of hsts for free. Consider for next block design.

There's one thing I really hate on youtube : when people are too lazy to explain what they're doing during the video ... this could have been a good instructional video, even for beginners, but without any explanation, only fiddeling your finger around, well that's BS, sorry
