Great concept. I have a couple of suggestions. You can’t always get 18inches out of a fat quarter because they are cut unevenly. I would press each seam as they are sewn. Also, I would backstitch the seams that hold the bag together

I have a terrible habit of buying fat quarters and FQ bundles because I fall in love with the pattern even though I have no idea how to make the most of the pattern or can't bear to cut it up. This might just be the perfect solution to that lol

For the lining, since I don't have a lot of yardage in my stash, I'd use 3 more fat quarters. Who cares if they're seamed together, it's inside the bag anyway.

LOL. Someone put "a orgiami bag" instead of "an origami bag" on the thumbnail. This is a nice video. I also appreciate the fact that it does not require a pattern. Wouldn't I maybe tack down the handle cover thing so it doesn't slip and then reveal the shame of my mangled zigzagging I'll be doing? Or would that just make it worse?
