I do not know if I'll ever have the opportunity to visit a safari so thank you for taking us along with you and showing us what it would feel like. Looks absolutely beautiful.

I immediately recognized that beaded collar that you chose as your piece to take home this year, Stephanie. That's a wedding collar! How appropriate! I once had the pleasure of working in a high end(ish?) picture framing store/art gallery in the historic downtown in Savannah, Ga. We framed pieces for the local art museum and the historic societies, as well as many of the wealthier families who had lived in Savannah for ages. One comfortably well off world traveler came in to have a nearly identical beaded collar framed. He had purchased it in a small village in Africa. He told the owner of the shop to not allow the picture framers to clean the item before placing it in a shadowbox frame. What appeared to us to be dried mud and bits of bark encrusting the colorful beads was actually a mixture of all sorts of substances, including cow dung, that was part of the village's wedding traditions to anoint the hair and neck of the bride who had worn the collar. The collector did not want the collar to look like a museum piece. He wanted to be able to recall the authentic purpose of the item and keep it in the state and condition in which he had received it, out of respect for the culture of the people who had created and worn it. Truly fascinating.

As a biologist from Australia who has not had the opportunity to visit South Africa yet, this actually brought a little tear to my eyes. Yes, I've seen many docco's and many of these animals in various zoos, but this was something special. From the big cats to the dung beetle, thank you!

What an amazing life you all get to lead. Some of us live in the same place we grew up in and never get to go very far from home. It's still a good life but when you are very poor it just gets tiring trying to get by and survive. I feel more like one of the animals in the preserve trying to survive than I do those who are watching.

I have watched a few peoples safari videos. This safari resort is by far one of the best. You are able to get so close to the animals. Surely because they have become accustomed to people staring at them but still very epic encounters

Lions and tigers and bears, Oh my! I don't know about an X-rating, it seemed more like PG-13 or perhaps a soft R rating. It was a wonderful safari sighting which ever way you choose. What good fortune. The sun downers really complete the excursions. Your guides are fantastic hosts. What an idyllic retreat. You've seen everything from spiders, dung beetles, pythons and chameleons, rabbits to hyenas, antelopes, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, hippos and elephants. What's left unseen? I was in South Africa in the 1990s and we went to Phalaborwa Safari Resort in Kruger National Park for our safari and it was amazing. Really enjoyed revisiting South Africa through your videos.
