So refreshing to hear someone is waiting for marriage, people act like being physically intimate is the number one component to a healthy relationship🤦🏾‍♀️

While this is true and sounds all good and well, I wish more people would be honest with Christian women who choose to wait until marriage. The truth is that it is really, really, really hard to find a Christian man that is currently practicing celibacy beyond the age of 25. Most are absolutely not and will skip over a woman that is, sad to say. If marriage is the goal, a celibate woman will need to marry early, be prepared to wait for a long time, be okay with an open relationship while dating or wait on a miracle from God.
@MsSnesie

Minimal Assembly You are completely right in saying that and I tell the same thing to women. Chances are that if he stays he might step out on you at some point, but celibacy is YOUR own journey and no one else’s actions should make you change your journey. It all boils down to intentional dating, if you both establish early that the end goal is marriage than the path is clear and there’s hope.

Minimal Assembly it is very hard to find a man of any age that will wait. That’s why us as women of God have to be patient and wait in God because the right man of God will understand abstinence and want that same very thing. I do feel that men lust more than women, although there are also some promiscuous women. I just hope and pray that if I am to get married, whoever God has for me is already strong enough to wait before I even meet him. However if I never get married, I still know that God is enough ❤️

@@deasiathompson91 I am with you on that one Deasia and just to add my two cents i think what's also important is understanding that celibacy is not just about waiting on some shelf like a fried chicken waiting to be devoured at the 'right time/marriage' but that it's a call to holiness. It's God's standard that we keep our bodies, which are His temple pure for The Holy Spirit to dwell in us until such a time that you are rightly qualified to let another body in after marriage. But having a perspective of celibacy just being a period of waiting for someone to come into you after marriage is what makes it pointless to a lot of us people that's why we end up just doing it anyway coz we make it about the other person when it's not. Celibacy is not even for your future husband it's primary for God.

I liked how you said God wants us to wait till marriage to have sex for our good. Sexual sin only hurt us but God is still greater than our sin and He works it out for our good as well.

For me however I'm dealing with loneliness, not going to school for a few months, mental challenges, losing friends etc. I was wondering if you could doing a video talking about healthy friendships, loneliness, and things like that. Hi Monye' I don't know if this helps and I am sorry to hear about what you are going through...I went through and still am going through a similar experience and what I have learnt so far is that sometimes, just sometimes (read the story of Job in the bible)God allows us to be in a season where even our closest ones can't be there for us so we can draw closer to Him without being distracted. In the midst of letting God and focusing on God's word, my relationship with a childhood friend got restored back and I cannot wait to see what else He will do. It's also improved my metal state, while I don't have all the answers I'd recommend you start drawing a timetable on how you are going to read and disect the word of God. It teaches a lot about Him and seeing his design for friendships and other life issues

This is no longer the time to be lonely for anyone. This is the end time. Chase after Jesus, everyone's true love. Either you are going to be caught up to meet the Lord in the air as one of his redeemed ones or you will be a tribulation saint who has to be beheaded for refusing to sell out to the beast. Embrace Jesus. Forsake every avenue of sexual self-gratification. Shun everyone whose life is not one that is sold out to Jesus.

I would love to hear more about how both you and your boyfriend have overcome the temptations of being intimate before marriage. As someone who is single and didn't wait until marriage, I feel overwhelmed and doubt my ability to overcome the temptation in future relationships. What boundaries do you have to remain pure during this time? How did you ultimately forgive yourself for your past mistakes? Thanks so much for pouring your heart out to strangers! You are so very encouraging

Girl you got this!! I have been in the same situation, and a lot of it is the healing that comes from God. Healing of your heart and learning to love him and how much he calls you precious in His word. You no longer lust for things you once did, things you wouldnt expect to be free from! Reach out to God and ask for healing. It’s all a journey ❤️✨

First miss Sydney, remember 1John chapter 1:8 If we confess our sins, The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us for our sins and to cleanse us from unrighteousness. So if you have asked for forgiveness the Lord has forgiven you, so don't beat yourself up fam. In overcoming our fleshly lust, we cannot do it on our own. You must cry out to God to fill you with His Holy Spirit, to provide you with the Heavenly strength to overcome your fleshly urges.

I've been celibate for 5 years and can honestly say it is one of the BEST decisions I've made in my life. Sex before marriage isnt an importance to me anymore. I'm more into getting to know myself with my mate as well as my mate with me and who he is an an individual. I also agree that our focus on God and Jesus should match along with the fact that we need to be able to have Bible study with each other to grasp the true meaning of religion. I see nothing wrong with learning from each other. Ok, ending here before I write a novel of a comment. 😉 Definitely sharing this one out.

I think we should be cautious about how we use the term “Friend”. With that being said, I feel it is ok to have non-Christian acquaintances or coworkers with whom you respect and have casual conversations with, however having non- Christian friends is not a good idea. True friends influence each other and advise each other and even sometimes teach each other, so it would not be wise to have that type of relationship with people of different mindsets, beliefs and values. A good book to read, for anyone wondering about this is “ Relational Intelligence”.

I will definitely have to read that book. I disagree with the premise only cuz I believe having someone of different values is important in any walk of life rather someone is Christian or not. I believe it's important to always have a open mind and a open heart and that no matter what someone else may believe in if they're a good person they'll be more inclined to be around you and want to continue to be around you compared to someone who is not. I also don't think hearing a different perspective from someone who is not Christian or religious is wrong or can lead to bad consequences, I tend to think some of those conversations can be some of the most engaging and thought-provoking because it opens the eyes in the minds to how someone else lives without the life of God in their life. It has shown for me that some people have the same exact morals and values and beliefs that I have they just don't believe in God and that I found was not a legitimate reason for me to not continue to interact with them or be friends with them but it encouraged me to keep being friends with them cuz I was not going to not believe in God or not not pray before we ate or be confident in my Love of Jesus. In the end though I love God and I love Jesus and I won't compromise that for anyone so I always tell people you have to understand if you're going to be my friend these are things about me that you can't change so if your intent is to keep being my friend to change them then we might as well not be friends and I have yet to encounter that but life's a mysterious thing anything can happen

I can relate to so many of the things you said! Especially how God speaks. I've also noticed that He speaks in prayer and worship. There are times where my prayers go into places I wasn't expecting and referencing scripture I wasn't thinking about. I definitely recommend getting into your word as much as possible! It makes it so much easier to discern the voice you're hearing. With confidence, this sounds backwards, but I was listening to Joe Solomon's podcast about being unimpressive (lol) and it just reminds you that everyone dies and no one has the authority or ability to remember you in eternity but God. When you think about the fact that you can't even prove your own name will be remembered in this world after you leave here, but our eternal God can look at you and say "well done my good and faith servant!" Idk it just... realizing how finite we all are yet God desires to know us FOREVER?!?? People will ghost you but God just wants to be close is beautiful and a great place to anchor your confidence.

That Blessed me.. it is for my Good, that sex was created strictly for marriage because God knows the consequences of it when we do it outside of the purpose that it was created for. I’m with you, I too felt the effects of operating outside of my convictions when I knew I was called to live a life of holiness, but compromising definitely put a hole in my heart.. So fast forward this has been a commitment I Vowed to and uphold to live to this Standard.. I’ve met a few men who shamed me for my standards of living unto God and I use to feel bad, but now I don’t, My true man of God will understand and is living that way as well

I totally agree- being friends with non-Christians is one thing, but a relationship? No. My two year relationship recently ended but I should have never been in it in the first place. We met while I was teaching in Korea and were long distance when I left. He believed in God (most of the time) but it wasn't enough. I knew he wasn't for me when we'd talk about our future. The decisions that he was making weren't God-led so I just knew I couldn't have a family with him. Plus we were sleeping together and every time I'd just feel awful like I was disappointing God. This also taught me that you can't change people. I figured I'd be planting a seed and eventually he'd get saved but now I know I need a God led, God driven man. A man who just doesn't go to church but who actually has a relationship with Him. Had I listened to God in the first place (I ignored all the signs), I wouldn't have had this heartbreak. Listen to God yall. It'll save you a lot of trouble!

You're not in a position to remarry. Your husband is still alive. So as far as the Lord is concerned you're still married to him. If you remarry you will be practising adultery. This a common practice in the Apostate Church.

God will reward your obedience and faithfulness. Very well said God wants you to wait to have sex until you’re married for your good. So wish I had followed that advice.

Melody! I love, love, love seeing you flourish in your faith journey! Something drew me to you back when you were making those Korea videos, even though I was never interested in going to Korea or anything, and I'm so glad I stuck around. It has truly been beautiful going along this journey with you! Ain't God good girl?! lol thank you for sharing all your wisdom and using your platform to glorify Christ and His goodness. It's definitely so refreshing and overall just awesome.

Girl please make a video about waiting for marriage!! I’m in the same boat. I’ve recently became closer to my faith and feel a calling to wait until I find the right person to be intimate. In the past I was so unhappy with my choices with how I felt, especially after sex. I’m happy to know I’m not alone in this! Also can you please make a video of going to counseling and how you chose the right one? I need to start but it’s a little intimidating!

Yes video on being celibate. When did did you bring it up to him? When is the best time to tell your partner you want to wait?
@minimalassembly7893

He should already be convicted about being celibate before you bring it up. Otherwise, he will likely not be on board for long and you might feel rejected if he decides that it is not for him.

Definitely want to hear more about your reasoning on sex before marriage. I struggle with this one. I wouldn't want to be married to someone who can't please me in the bedroom or who isn't comfortable talking or communicating around this topic but once you're married it's too late. Intimacy is so key in a relationship I can't imagine marrying someone without that missing link. 😕
@sm7640

Well in any relationship you have to communicate what you need in that aspect. No one is a mind reader and will know exactly what you need in the bedroom. If two people have a loving connection enough so to be married, then they should be able to be open enough to navigate that area together. It would be terrible to have a partner who you later find out is closed off or doesn’t care about learning how to make intimacy important for both participants though but that would speak more about what kind of person you are married to. Basically communication is key and women need to be verbal/vocal also especially if they love/trust their partner.

@Wilmina Robinson How can you learn if you don't practice...? You're relying on a single person to teach you everything you need to know when they have no knowledge either? It's fine if that's not important to you and you can live with an average sex life but realistically experience equals knowledge in all real life applications including this one.

@@LB-mn5jq she’s saying that you learn and practice together. you tell each other what feels good and what doesn’t feel good... you don’t need multiple partners to know what feels good to you when you are having intimacy with the one you are married to. tell them speed up slow down like... it’s all about communication and practice.

I would love a video about fornication before marriage, like if you could do a whole series about it because this is something that I’m struggling with personally. Ideas thoughts things to do ways to keep busy why you shouldn’t have sex before marriage besides the soul ties. Can give like a complete detailed guidebook of why waiting to marriage is worth it. That series would be great.

I would say that keeping people who do not believe in God I'm your close inner circle isn't a good idea. At least from personal experience, it isn't good for me because i easily get influenced and am still a newer believer and don't have that level of self discipline just yet. I also want to be comfortable but ur right it's good to still have them as friends or aquatintces because that's how u invite them to Church and introduce them to God 👍🏿😊💗

Sex out of marriage is wrong (Sin) if we fellow God's word. Corinthians 6:18-20 says “Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

But what about being unequally yoked. Paul says it's not a sin in 1st Corinthians I think but uts not advisable. Dont you what someone who can lift you up when you're down in your journey of faith. Think about it and pray maybe. Not judging just giving advice based on what I've heard and seen
