The prank should have involved only Shem in the room while the other guys talk about him and a lady. So, when mama Shem enters, she sees only Shem and begins to search the lady. With that, mama Shem will finally realize it is a prank. With the lady and Shem inside, it can never be considered a prank by any other person that was not involved with the plan
