I think that depends on what you quantify as success or failure. Do you mean like in your job? Relationships? Or in godliness in all of those things?

All you have contributed to your salvation is the sin that made it necessary. When it comes to success and failures it’s the same. You, me and everyone is a mess apart from God. I think of Deut 8:18 in the NLT “Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful” The only reason you have power to become successful “by your own free will” is because of him alone. We would not even exist apart from him creating us.

I’m sorry for your loss, but you should desire to die to be with Christ, not a human. I’ve got bad news for you, Jesus said that there is no marriage in heaven. We will see our spouses yes, but we will not be in romantic relationship with them. There will be no physical attraction, as we won’t have the same bodies we have here on earth. If your desire to see your wife again is greater than your desire to see Christ face to face, then you have an idol in your heart and I pray that you repent. All that we know is that we will be FULLY and FOREVER fulfilled in Jesus!! There's no room for sadness or lamentations! That means that we need to suck it up? NO! that means that there will be NOTHING other than FULL HAPPINESS and Joy and Fulfilment and Glory of God! Third, we will have the same bodies BUT glorified (Paul speaks about how we will put immortality over this body!) and we WILL SURELY remember everything here and everyone here. And also, we'll eat but out of enjoyment because we will NEVER be hungry! (Look up what Jesus did after the resurrection in His Glorifies Body!)
