I love how you guys dived into the one extreme end of men's sexuality but I feel like you could've also touched on the other end. The virgin men waiting for marriage like myself. We're always shamed for not being sexually active. Don't get me wrong I also feel sexual energy from time to time but I try by all means to deal with it( usually by going outside my res room and be in the company of people ). Some people have told me that it's pointless to wait cause my future wife probably isn't a virgin and I tend to feel out of place whenever I take women out on a date and my friends ask me if I smashed. To a certain degree my view on dating and flirting has been a bit distorted cause from what I see in society the end goal is just sex. I'm sure there are other gents like me who feel the same way.

hey Lebo, depression is not external, its internal and the over emphasis of one's shortfalls more than they need to be. either conciously or subconciously. its basically when your brain goes into guilt overdrive and its confusing for the region of the brain that's rational and objective because there wouldnt be an apparent reason to feel that bad about yourself, this distress is what causes suicidality. id advise you maintain a support structure, sometimes affirm yourself that youre alright, youre safe, and you haven't done anything that requires that level of guilt, don't blame yourself, remember each day is a brand new day. indulge in what makes you feel better, if its kfc or ice cream go for it. get comfortable with yourself, humour is often a mask. sit with yourself in silence, think about what you want and live for you. theres only one you, and that you is important, seek to meet that you.

Yoh this was quite the episode guys. Firstly I want to thank Thato for being brave enough to share his truth, it honestly really touched me. I’m sorry you ever had to go through any of those experiences ❤. Secondly, it really disappointed me how many people just glossed over such an important thing like s*xual assault in young men and boys in the comment section. This is a really big issue in our community. Children need to be protected by all means necessary not just the girl child but all children. In the context of teaching boys and men about consent, it shouldn’t be just in the setting of them being potential perpetrators but also in the setting of them being potential victims as well.

I understand the whole issue of men being sexualized from a young age but I also feel like when you get to a point where you look at random women at a mall and you feel like having sex with them then maybe see a therapist because I feel like that's how people become rapists. Not because they are bad people but because something happened to them at a very young age and it fested into real life crimes. Mannn, all I can do is pray for all of our sexual lives (even those waiting for marriage) because when I hear that someone is a serial rapist, I always wonder what kind of painful things have happened to them for them to be that. I even wonder what could possibly happen to me for me to be a serial rapist or murderer. If anything, people go throughhhhh soo much they don't unpack let's just be kind.

I personally think the idea friendships are subjective depending on the world we are each aware of. Men can also have surface level friendships where we can talk about sports only or watches or Cars. I cannot speak for women because i am not a women so i wouldnt realy fully understand their experience on friendships.
