Күн бұрынClean and distorted rhythm comparison between Seymour Duncan Custom SH-5 (passive) and DiMarzio Tone Zone (passive) pickups for electric guitar on the bridge position. Settings are the following:
GUITAR
Tuning: Eь / D#
Strings: D'Addario EXL140 (010-052 gauge)
AMP
Clean: EVH 5150 III profile (Kemper Profiler)
Distortion: Peavey 5150 profile (Kemper Profiler)
RECORDING TECHNIQUE:
- One centered mono track per pickup.
- Same config and EQ for both.

Thank you Mike for the comparison vid. Both pickups sound great and very similar with little variance. I heard slightly more mids in the Tone Zone, however, in a full mix environment I'm not too sure I'd be able to differentiate the two since they sound almost identical. I own both pickups, the Tone Zone in a Charvel(sounds awesome) and the SH-5 Custom is going in a Jackson. It will be interesting to hear if there is more or less tone variances between the two guitars. Cheers!

Very similar sounding, I have a TB-5 (Trembucker version of the SH-5) and it´s awesome sounding...like it so much better than the JB (too harsh for my taste). The Tone Zone to be honest sounds just a little better, more open sounding, better low end and better high end as well. But it´s just a tiny smidge difference from my perspective. Both sound great!

Tone zone is like a custom 5, and the custom sounds muddy at point

The tone zone is for overly bright guitars. It is a bit rounder sounding I suppose.

As far as I can tell, both sound really similar and practically identical except the DiMarzio sounds a bit darker. Then again I'm only listening with one earbud lol
