We have domesticated raccoons People keep pet raccoons, you can just do that. It’s only legal in 16 states and you can’t just take one from the wild normally, but you can get a domesticated raccoon Not sure if domesticated ones wash their food. They aren’t really washing it, it’s an instinct that cleaning off the stuff that isn’t food gives them a better idea of what they’re holding exactly. They have no real concept of cleanliness. But even in the wild you only see it occasionally.
