This isn't call of duty. You can be a top tier player in a fighting game into your 50s. Reflexes don't have to be that good. Just able to read a player.

It’s not a reaction but a read/prediction. Time was going down, there are only so many ways for Bison to get in a desperation hit from that distance and dragon punch covers all of them.

Surprised Daigo isn't better at counter DI. Or were those DIs not counterable?

@@The_SOB_IIit is more of a personal weakness of Daigo sadly. He is definitely reacting DI slower than lots of top players and that is usually enough to cost him the game.

DI is fine, Bison has zero defensive options and gets trashed in oki. His damage needs a tweak, maybe, he's no worse than Marisa in that sense.

It is no longer invincible through the duration. Meaning Akuma leaving himself wide open for 50 frames and Bison is known for great forward moments. Doing teleport without thinking in this match up is pretty much asking for punishes.

@@upsidely It is in fact used a lot. Ashura can cancelled into Ultra 2 at any time of the teleport which in fact it is frequently used in combos. It is just usually getting cancelled too fast so we couldn’t even see the animations. I would say it is only slightly worse than Yoga Teleport (Dhalsim/Seth). Which also reminds me Bison also having a teleport in SF4 which has fairly long recovery frames hence it is not super useful.

The only way to punish them (since they're -4 in neutral at best) is to have the bison poorly space them out. You can also DI them if you know it's coming, but it has to be early, or they can DI back. Perfect parry is also an option

Daigo actually demonstrated that for a few time here. You want to walk forward for few steps and block when you are feeling a scissor kick coming out. Pretty much like how you trick Cammy into doing unsafe drills. Yeah it is a bit scary and risky but that’s the way of making it punishable.

I would say 80% turtle style

Bison needs to burn metres on reaction to punish fireballs so it really isn’t that bad. Ideally just demon flip and air fireball when Bison doesn’t have super. His normals ain’t fast enough to answer Akuma’s pressure. Still this matchup is on Bison’s side for sure but for only one reason: Bison has standard 10000 health while Akuma has 9000. Bison’s damage potential is as good as Akuma’s. When he has resources he can delete Akuma from half health through drive rush overhead, which is why Daigo is taking these throws all days.

Fireball in SF6 is way weaker than it used to be since specials no longer do chip damage unless your opponent is burnt out. Meaning if your only game plan is throwing fireballs you are not even going to gain any damage/life lead since it does no damage. Plus there are so many ways to punish fireballs right now. Specials, supers, jump in, perfect parry, drive impact, etc. It is an extremely risky move in high level play and the fireballs Daigo thrown in this set are all carefully planned. You try to do the same against Xiaohai with Akuma you probably get immediately jumped in and lose in the next few seconds.

So easy right? Go play Akuma and only use Fireballs, lets see how far you go. Daigo is a master at conditioning his opponents.

Theres no problem in the center.you can do anything.bad guesssing is quiet hurt but by this game at the corner pressure, bison take advantage with this.
