The damage done was underwhelming for two reasons. At 1 drink Jamie starts all combos at 95% scaling, and by starting with a light then going 6 hits deep all the damage had been scaled away by the time level 3 came around

This is definitely not a bad match up for Jamie, it was just played poorly here. Jamie needs to maintain pressure with s.HP and get all up in Sim's face. Force him to be defensive. When played too passively, you play right into to Dhalsim's comfort zone and he gets to just do what he wants from range. And when Sim does what he wants he is very strong.

What do you mean it was played poorly here? It’s a top level Sim vs. the number one Jamie and they went 3-2, could have easily gone the other way. Also it might not be a terrible matchup but definitely Jamie does not have the advantage because Sim can punish drink attempts from full screen. And no-drinks Jamie is a bad character.

This is one of Jamie worst match ups. Its insane how his cousin's (Yun and Yang) handle Sim in comparison to him.

Dhalsim is definitely a low S-Tier in this game, only 2nd to JP who is high S-Tier. Naruo struggled to find his way here.

Because he was poorly managing his resources, maintaining pressure, and finding and exploiting openings.

Dhalsim is one of the two only characters considered low tier in sf6, the other being lilly.
