Missing Zero saga? Haha don't worry, I'm now working at alpha games, as my first comeback I choose Hyper Street Fighter Alpha, I always wish to get this game working someday, now it's tas'able. Ryu as first choice due...I don't know, may Ryu, Akuma, Ken comes to mind every time I want to record as like they are game protagonists.
As you know Hyper SFA don't have story mode, the method to make a TASvideo on it? Change 2p to COM mode, let's try out a new TAS method, showing off all gauges against random characters must be my best choice to bring a good quality which this game can show to us. Green, blue, pink, red ISMs, zero, zero 2, mazi and saikyo modes they are all here guys. Have a fun!

I wish this game got more attention, it's basically Alpha 3 on steroids, only bad thing is there's no arcade or dramatic battle mode.

I bought a PS2 and two (very expensive) brook adapters just to play this one. I had it back in the day but never knew about this extra game. The third strike bar is extra fun

These TAS play throughs are important imho because they demonstrate combos that are possible within the game engine. Some are incredibly difficult to pull off without tool assist, but they are not impossible

SF Anniversary Collection (PS2) had a "bonus" version of A3 called "Hyper SFA" once you'd beaten each of the 3 main Alpha games and saved the data to the Memory card; you just hold select on Alpha 1 and choose it. It's a versus-only mode (you can set an AI to each player, but there's no Arcade Mode, Survival, or Dramatic Battle) where after choosing a character, you can choose one of almost a dozen variants. And then there are SECRET VARIANTS, TOO! (each of which is in the video) -Alpha (for the 13 characters there) -Alpha 2 (for the 18 characters, plus Shin Akuma and Evil Ryu) -Alpha 2 Gold (for the same cast, plus Cammy) -Alpha 3 --Normal/Mazi/Saikyo/Classic** --X-ISM/A-ISM/V-ISM Pressing select+(right for P1, left for P2) on the Normal/Mazi/Saikyo/Classic menu gives you: **--"GREEN-ISM" allows unlimited chain combos, in air and ground; and uses A-ISM moves **--"BLUE-ISM" allows SF3-style parrying and super cancels; and uses X-ISM moves **--"RED-ISM" changes some special/super moves to resemble MvC variants (hence, Ryu having Shin-Shoryuken and big Hadokens, even though the hitbox doesn't change) **--"SF2-ISM" (no bar) is literally the movesets of World Warrior, including all the busted shit and insane damage rates for the OG cast (only)

I think you meant Street Fighter Alpha Anthology. Street Fighter Collection did not have any of the Street Fighter Alpha games on it. The only game it had with Hyper in the title was Hyper Street Fighter 2: Anniversary Edition

Hyper Street Fighter Alpha and Hyper Street Fighter 2 are the BEST!!!!! Plus they have the same in USF4 when you can select the edition They should make a HYPER STREET FIGHTER 3 That would be DOPE!!!! 😆😆😆

Interesting, so while the PS2 version lost World Tour mode, it got this instead. More SFA than one can shake a stick at, this is great.

It never lost it. The PS2 anthology was emulated arcade games, including the a3 Upper on here that is NOT based on the Naomi original but a custom derivative of the original A3 with the new characters added.

Esse jogo é antigo já pow haha, é parte do Alpha Anthology do PS2, é um bom jogo que te permite bastante isms. Quanto a mugen, estou pensando em trazer, preciso primeiro testar e ver a estabilidade de algumas versões.

Guess what, everything on here was emulated too. This game isn’t really much more than a collection of ROMS either. The main difference is that to save on RAM usage and performance they reverse engineered the audio and had that handled by the console instead of emulated. The rest of it is pure emulation just like SF30th. There’s a reason that this was one of the hardest strains on a PS2 emulator to run. The Darkstalkers collection was done the same exact way. Of course that’s not to say that Capcom didn’t do a bit of quality of life and enhancements here and there, but past that it’s ROMs just like 30th. Though how much is Digital Eclipses fault and how much of it is Capcom’s? After all, Capcom DID outsource the collection when they should’ve did it in house.
