Such restraint, control, feeling... such a powerful choir, but such tasteful gentle reins on that power.

I cried when I heard this! I have aways felt out of sync with others. Had tough times keeping friendships. I never liked my body, too skinny. I love this song! You did an incredible job. Beautiful voices, breath control, taking it loud then soft was amazing! Thank you for such a treasure.❤

When people don't know this song it's jarring at first--awkward chuckles in the audience. But after a while it's just beautiful and there is nothing about the song that is meant to be funny. In fact that is the power behind this song--the revelation, "holy fuck I'm not even in their league!" But then again, the words and the melody are so honest and passionate that whatever boundaries or perceived barriers seem to have divided this person from the "angel" they believe is beyond their reach, begin to melt away and all that is left is '"true love" and all the allusions that make LOVE deliciously forbidden fruit that one might wait a life time to pick after it ripens and falls from it's tree. If any of you think that is creepy, well love can be a little creepy--especially unrequited love.

Brilliant.

It's the point at which the audience gets that this song is describing our own journeys that hits me in the gut so hard.

Bud, it's the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. What'd you expect?

Good comment ! It’s always nice when the rampant homophobes show everyone who they are.

For this many people singing, this is a terrible cover. Sorry. Thank you for posting. I WANT to say it is a good cover, but it is not. Again, thank you for the post. Desiree “Desi” O’Neill

@@kat_4 Just because someone has an opinion other than yours relating to music, doesn't make them "a hater". I sang in this chorus for years, and think this is a dreadful arrangement. It's my personal opinion that this song should never have been used as a choral piece. Relying strictly on dynamics doesn't bring out the emotion in this song for me.

@@TimInUTgirl literally bye just because you’re in choir doesn’t make u an expert. 🤓also never said it was amazing! or that the arrangement was good? but the comment is literally hating by saying it’s bad. but okay! thanks for the feedback
