I honestly like this idea a lot more than the nightmare animatronics, a kid having nightmares about the actual animatronics instead of what's essentially them if they were jammed into a wood chipper. The only problem with that would be that it would feed into a certain theory that at the time almost single handedly destroyed the fanbase.

These are amazing, but did you ever realize that the nightmare animatronics seem to be more closely connected to the fnaf 2 withered animatronics. Like Withered Chica having the split wide mouth, Foxy’s ear being sort of segmented, like the Withered Foxy. Bonnie doesn’t have a huge resemblance, but looking at an unwithered version or him, he does in fact have 2 rows of teeth. Then there’s Freddy. He also has 2 rows of teeth, which would lead to suggest that he is also based around the fnaf 2 model. The biggest reason as to why this would make sense is that the models of the fnaf 1 animatronics weren’t seen until 1993, and the withered models existed up until 1987. They could’ve been around at the same time of Fredbear’s Family Diner at a different location, and fnaf 4 takes place in 1983. It just kinda lines up.

Look, the nightmare animatronics are some of my favourite characters in FNAF from a design standpoint and I know Scott designed them like that because it was intended to be the scariest game in the series but I honestly think that these jumpscares are very fitting too, i mean FNAF 4 would be more believable from a real world standpoint if the kid had nightmares of the actual animatronics UNLESS of course he really was THAT scared of the animatronics to have his mind twist them into hellish monsters in his nightmares Anyways, great work!

I appreciate how faithful your recreations are. Also, I love how after so many years of over exposure and recycling, the original animatronics still have a certain unique creepy aura that still holds up.

Honestly...That one for Foxy kinda works...The others were cool and well-made sure, but would feel kinda out of place...But Foxy feels like he could fit in with FNAF 4.

I personally prefer the fnaf 4 designs. I wish they'd use similar designs to fnaf 4 more often so that the games are actually somewhat scary.

Okay, I gotta say it: I don't think the FNAF 4 animatronics are that scary. The whole linchpin of the horror in FNAF is the automatonophobia, which is caused by the uncanny feeling conveyed by the animatronic's design; they're trying to look like not only something living, but something friendly and welcoming. But you can tell something is wrong. Something unnatural and unsettling lurking beneath the surface. There's a sort of deception there, and it freaks your brain out. These things are pretending to be something they're not, but you can't quite put your finger on it, and that's frightening. It's why we're creeped out by the Chuck E. Cheese animatronics, and why we're creeped out by the original FNAF characters they inspired. The FNAF 4 animatronics are just *too honest.* Sure, they look scary, but they're scary in the way a charging bull is. The sharp teeth, the withered exterior, the claws, there is none of that "deception" happening. It's like their designs are telling you "Yeah, we're dangerous. You had better run." There's no uncanny draw. They're all open books. That unsettling presence is gone with them. They aren't "pretending" to be anything. It's just boom. Big scary monster robot animals. Run. With a lot of Scott's other designs I think he did a decent enough job at managing that uncanny horror, but those ones just miss the mark for me personally.

I found most of them to be funny, especially with the behind the scenes look of the animatronics attacking the camera.

Well im honestly not surprised, people say that it would be cool to have fnaf 4 actually like this or more organic designs (I actually support the last one), but if we actually had that probably the fandom would say that the first design choice is lazy and (let's say) a fan did the designs we know and have, those would probably be preffered in thst case.
