Fact: Civilian was actually planned to be the tenth class, civilian was introduced in tf2c (team fortress 2 classic). but then tf2c was removed later because it's confusing name. Civilian only have a melee which is an umbrella. But he can mini-crit boost someone for 10 secs

This just shows how good of a community tf2 really has. Even if Valve has the balls the pull the plug on tf2, this community won’t die without leaving them a few mementos. #savetf2

I just started playing the game a few months ago but years before I got a pc, I used to watch the gameplay, animations, and sometimes streams. Valve just forgot about it but thanks to the community, I found a game that means so much to me. #savetf2

1:14 One minor criticism I have is that the motions here do not really look like they have much weight behind them. 1:17, however, did look like it had more weight behind that swing. Knowing your previous work, I am certain that the scene will be improved in the final version.

I find some of the faster movements slightly off (like, they look kinda unnatural) but goddamn that's probably the best lighting I've ever seen in sfm

Honestly i would love a serious implementation of the Civilian as a tenth class. With a bulletproof umbrella as a shield for primary, and a sword cane in the umbrella as a secondary.

Civilian was originally planned to be added to tf2 (originally from tfc) but was scrapped (playable in tf2c and tfc if I remember) the eleventh class is the mercenary dude from open fortress ;)

I don't intend on getting a Twitter or Reddit account anytime soon, so I'll just post this here in the best place and only way I know how. Hell, maybe I'll copy and paste this to other places. My story with this game is rather simple and maybe less emotional than some others, but still something I hold dear... When I first heard about this game, I was watching a countdown artist by the name of The Quarter Guy talking about the "Top 10 Healers in Video Games" and wouldn't you know it, our own sociopathic, crazed, and morbidly hilarious German mad scientist was at Number 1! What struck to me was how unique his character was and how much in deviated from the traits you'd normally come to expect with this type of character. But what got to me the most was how nice and well-animated the clip of the video the countdown artist was using. So I looked up "team fortress 2 medic" and found an interesting video titled "Meet the Medic"... When I clicked on that video, I had no idea I was coming into an experience I would NEVER forget... Everything about that animated short was amazing. The characters, the animation, the voice acting...I didn't know about this at the time but it also very effectively showcased the gameplay of the Medic (with a few exceptions). I loved it. Then I saw at the end there was a line up of 9 characters including the good doctor posing with an equally stunning and awesome-looking design, I had to see more! So I click on a video that showed all of them and quickly got attached to every single one of these sociopathic mercenaries. Excited to see more, I looked up some music videos based on these characters such as JT Music's "Meet the Crew" and brentalfloss' "The Team Fortress 2 Song", which fun experiences. But the one that REALLY got me hooked to this game was when I watched The Winglet's "Live and Let Spy". It's a fan animation, sure, but it was a really good one and it introduced me to the awesome fan animations this community can make. Then, some of my friends got me to get into Steam and the rest was history. I may have been newer player seeing as how I joined in shortly before Gun Mettle happened, but it was a fantastic experience. I want to thank people like The Quarter Guy and The Winglet for getting me into this fantastic game and I wish this game was in a better state and better treated. I'm aware this may not change much, but I'd rather try than regret doing nothing at all. #savetf2
