I love kohlrabi and grew up eating it raw with seasoned salt. I don’t have any other experience with it outside of that, so it’s nice seeing what else can be done with it. I quick-pickled some the other day for snacking.

Kohlrabi is one of my favorite vegetables. However, I have only sliced it and eaten it with a sprinkling of salt. I will try to fry some with sliced beef sometime. Thank you WG, another lovely video. You're so elegant.

Beautiful, poetic presentation of everything-the mountains, your home and the food prep. I have never seen a film done using kohlrabi. Easy, colorful recipes. I’m sure they will be delicious. Also, your choice of clothing adds to the beauty of the overall production. Great work and thank you.

Kohlrabi? In Hungary it's called "karalábé". One of our main vegetables beside carrots and a few others, widely used in different meals. :)

English, kohlrabi. Spanish, colinabo. a cabbage of a variety with an edible turniplike swollen stem. The swollen stem has a mild flavor in between a cabbage & a potato after cooking.

The first time I had seen one of these was at my great uncle's house, it was a butter container on the counter, and the butter basically hung upside-down in the cup, and the rim of the cup sat in a matching plate with raised edges and water to help keep it cool and to seal it off from being contaminated

Jane Doe it’s kohlrabi. I grow it in my garden, it tastes like a cross between a daikon radish and a cabbage. It’s a very mild tasty flavor. I like putting it in salads.

It's beautiful. As kids we would go to see if it's big enough to eat and we ate it like apples 😉 There are different kinds and it taste between white cabbage and radishes. When young it's very sweet, if the weather was too dry it gets little bit spicier like radishes. The giant variety can be stocked for winter in a cellar with potatoes and used for soups, vegetable or meat pies etc...
