This time, we went on a three-day, two-night trip to Yamagata. We stayed at "SUIDEN TERRASSE," which is arguably the most famous hotel in Yamagata.
Nestled in the middle of Shonai's rice fields, this hotel stands alone like a serene retreat. Inside, you'll find a restaurant, a library space, a bar, and a large public bath with a sauna. The hotel offers so many amenities that you could easily spend an entire day enjoying them.
However, Yamagata is known for its delicious food, so a gourmet drive to places like Sakata from Suiden Terrasse is highly recommended. It was my first time visiting Tohoku, and I’ve completely fallen in love with the region and Yamagata's charm. I'll definitely be coming back!
