great to hear . I likewise has the similar experience after return from a month visit of Xin Jiang west side where I learnt about the silk road history, & seeing the largest solar farm , wind farm , & largest desert transformation & enjoying the best fruit from Xin Jiang , above all I find that is a very safe & peaceful place where people living in harmony. What I witness is completely different than the lies US media, leaders , politician told, period.
I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful adventure Judge Julie Tang made in China . She talked about the beautiful mountains the culture and the interaction she had with the natives. It gives me a better understanding of China and her people. Judge Tang was such a good illustrator I felt I was almost there with her in this exceptional journey .
This Tibet part of China, has a very long sad history although the Chinese government, not even in the pre-communist era, was merciful enough to leave them alone for centuries as an automoous entity, hoping they would be happy. Yet it stayed as a cruelest surf society around Tibert buddhist spiritual leader until about 1950 when the western world attempted to detablise and seperate Tibet from the then communist, war-torn, poor China, who took over just for 1 year, when they decided to kick the evil forces out (including Dalai Lama, now in India) and restore order . After the restoration, the Chinese government made a state wide announcement to the people there that from that day they were all liberated, they was no longer surf in that place, all of them have the same right as human and are equal. The document record was well achived and readily accessible in the Chinese gvernment web site. Today we still see Mao's picture in many Tibetian homes.
