Shawn, love those hostile strykers on CO2 in the background. Can wait to get a set for my white 2015 Silverado 2500HD. Mine is blizzard out all white like yours but the chrome wheels should blend well with the chrome bumpers, grille, door handles and trim.

I reckon this would be interesting...2 tyres same diameter, r17 vs r20, weight comparison. Factory wheels and tyres then new wheels and tyres weight comparison. I wonder the weight difference of a 33" r15 compared to 33 r20 wheels and tyres? The weight gained when getting bigger wheels and tyres is crazy.

I like to get a big tire and use the most narrow rim that is safe with that tire. Then the sidewall of the tire will save the rim. Nice when offroading because you bounce off big rocks.

Lip Con cavity Face Dish I would appreciate if you pointed and touched each art of the wheel with close up shot. I would understand better if I had clear definitions of the rim -yes, I’m ignorant to these wheels. That’s why I watched the video. Thanks for the information

SO would concave be easier to balance out smooth since you can get stick-on weights almost all the way out to the front lip? Real question is are deep dish wheels more difficult to balance?

I have a 95 Dodge Ram and I've always had bigger tires on it because I used it in the back country to go fishing, but now I'm looking to change up the tire and modify it to be more of a low profile truck that's only used on the streets as I bought a new or truck for the back country. I like that hostile elf? Or the hybrid. Any recommendations?

What about speedometers? Going bigger or smaller makes them inaccurate of course but how could we fix that? Personally I drive a 97 silverado and don't want to get new wheels and tires unless I can fix my speedometer.

That Hostile "hybrid" wheel design isn't really anything new; look at wheels like American Racing Outlaws / Outlaw IIs, Centerline Convo-Pros and numerous other designs from the 80s and 90s - dish + concave. Yeah, we were lifting trucks way back then too. Long before America went "truck crazy" we were in the game. What's old is new again.

Dish - especially deep dish - is concave to the max (and zero to negative offset). What you call concave is really convex that transitions back to concave. This is the hybrid if any are. This is done to create an illusion of dish while having positive offset. What you called a hybrid is just an attempt to find an acceptable medium between (factory) positive offset and no offset. To dish or not to dish. That is the question. Deep dish wheels look great. What doesn't look great (IMO) is tires sticking way out past the fenders and the truck's exaggerated track width. It's down right silly and bolt on flares do nothing to make it look good. Pushed out tires is the result of zero to negative offset wheels aka deep dish wheels. Newer trucks are designed for positive offset. The benefit is maximum track width while keeping the tires tucked under the vehicle. This tuck is often required by law. It also looks the best (IMO). If factory positive offset is maintained you are often limited to a 12" wide tire max. Even these probably will stick out just a little.

Oversized (20”+) wheels do not belong on 4-wheel drive trucks - period. Take that crap off an otherwise nice truck and fit some 17s or even 18s if they won’t clear the brake calipers. You’re killing your sidewall and flex opportunity & also creating a shitty jarring ride. How the F do you expect to air down with those low profile tires? Oh, you don’t because it’s a pavement queen. Might as well get a ricer if you’re going to ruin shit.
