In order to further strengthen the in-depth cooperation between the tourism and hotel major of Shanghai Business School and domestic and foreign counterparts, and jointly contribute wisdom and strength to the innovative management of the tourism reception industry of the "Belt and Road", the 2024 "Belt and Road" International Forum on Innovative Management of the Tourism Reception Industry under the New Situation of the "Belt and Road" National Tourism and Hotel Management Training Class was successfully held on June 24.
The forum was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and co-organized by the School of Hotel Management of Shanghai Business School and the International Business Officials Training Base of the Ministry of Commerce (Shanghai). As an important arrangement for the interactive discussion session of the training class of the Ministry of Commerce's Foreign Aid Training Base, this forum brought together experts, scholars and industry elites from the tourism industry to exchange views on the innovative management of the tourism reception industry under the new situation and the 28 trainees of the training class.
At the meeting, Zhang Shaohua, Vice President of Shanghai Business School, delivered a welcome speech, thanked the industry experts for their strong support for the school's teaching and training activities, and looked forward to taking this forum as an opportunity to further strengthen the in-depth exchanges between the tourism and hotel major of Shanghai Business School and domestic and foreign counterparts in the fields of digital tourism, ecotourism, camping and leisure.
Professor Qi Xiaozhai, Vice President of the China Society of Business Economics, and Xu Ting, Secretary General of the Shanghai Tourism Industry Association, delivered speeches respectively, proposing to focus on building a cooperation platform for international exchanges, innovatively carry out the promotion of cultural tourism in the "Belt and Road Initiative", and continuously promote the international exchange of cultural tourism.
In the keynote speech session, the guests gave wonderful speeches on stage, sharing valuable experiences and innovative strategies for the new trends and challenges of the current tourism reception industry.
Bai Changhong, Vice Chairman of the National MTA Teaching Committee and Director of the Silk Road Tourism Research Center of Nankai University, gave a wonderful speech entitled "New Artificial Intelligence Era and Management Research" around the case study of artificial intelligence + tourism. In addition, Professor Bai pointed out that human happiness fundamentally depends on creation. By establishing a happiness and creation laboratory, various organizations and places, including practical exploration under the ideal and use of artificial intelligence, are studied in order to continuously discover some laws and patterns, and provide theories and directions for the progress of various organizations in the future.
Wang Yongming, vice president of Donghu Group, shared how to find a platform or development concept for innovative development of hospitality management from three dimensions, and proposed to look at the scene from the perspective of the future, the industry from the perspective of the industry, and the changes from the perspective of the industry; to develop with openness; to seek development with tomorrow's ideas.
Lilian, director of strategy and corporate development at Utali College in Kenya, gave a wonderful keynote speech on the ways and significance of enhancing the value of tourism and based on China's experience. She pointed out that tourism is an attractive activity and technology must be vigorously developed to show the unique aspects of the country.
Professor Wu Wenzhi of East China Normal University, based on the creation of micro-vacation and rural destinations, gave an in-depth introduction from three dimensions: new ways and new spaces for vacation life, new spaces for urban and rural financing, and new trends in urban and rural lifestyles.
Zheng Shiqing, deputy director of the Cultural Tourism Research Center of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, gave a speech on "New Tourism Forms under the New Situation of AI", pointing out that AI affects the tourism industry through strengthening education, optimizing management, and deepening experience. Top tourism resources, convenient facilities and services constitute the core competitiveness of the tourism industry.
Jiang Hong, Dean of the School of Hotel Management of Shanghai Business School, delivered a keynote speech entitled "The Construction of an Innovative Laboratory for Cultural Tourism and Pan-Service Empowered by Digital Technology under the Background of "Digitalization".
