I think he is right but there are other legendary singers sitting down there like Shreya mam and Shankar sir and if they are saying something then that should also be taken into consideration. Their points were also valid. When they are singing duet it's kind of a team work. So I feel it's very well carried out by Rahul. They could award maybe lesser marks to Neeti but shouldn't have created a scene.

Yes definitely what the hell is agar main by forgetting the lyrics and stopping in between not even the four lines she could sing without forgetting it is because exams are also not supposed to be like that by seeing and answering the questions by asking for the others to tell and repeat the answer of the question so he got angry at Neeti Mohan and Mika Singh for asking the next line to audience others might not accept it so that they also don't forget it because we all know that very well

What the others are failing to understand is that Shaan Sir isn't pointing out the lyrics forgetting part in particular. He was merely highlighting that it had to be a duet performance, but ended up with the guy singing most of the song, rendering that girl to almost being backing vocals. In the end the performance was great and that dude's presence of mind was good, but the whole essence of it being a duet was lost. It shows Shaan Sir's vast knowledge not just in music, but all about performance, stage presence and audience interaction.....mad respect to him

All public don't know "sur - taal" it's not justice to judge the performance based on Audience. Today's singers are using softwares to mould their voice, even Salman Khan started singing, lol. Shaan has a very valid point. I've seen very good singers being sent home in song competitions when they forgot the words. Although Shaan's way of putting his point across is wrong but Mika really pushed him further. The matter was being settled when he chose to start the fight all over again.

Shaan showed a bit too anger but he is completely justified as this is not just a stage show but a competition where every little moment during the singing is judged, otherwise everyone is brilliant singer and all would stand in the same line if these mistakes are ignored and overlooked. Shaan is logical and correct. You cannot consider a singer who forgets the lines and uses presence of mind to overcome the lapse to some extent, better than a singer who has sung the whole song with perfection. Anyone in place of Shaan whould be frustrated. Shankar Mahadevan was pathetic. As soon as the song was over, he started yelling 'presence of mind'.

Noone would have predicted Ayushmann (host) would become so big in the future. Also, Bigger surprise was in the first episode of this show when after final round, Shaan strikers had won against Himesh’s team based on points but somehow Himesh’s team was declared the winner.

Shaan was right. His anger was manipulated by all the others to show as if he was wrong. Mika is a use-n-throw-song singer, why would he argue with a better singer??? I faintly remember seeing this and getting angry for those singers who forgot the lyrics :-)

Look, shaan's point was definitely right...but it wasn't justified! He could've handled it in better way...but if he can scold contestants and judges in singing competition...even he is a judge reacting so inappropriately is that necessary? Instead of scolding he could've made them realise their mistake and motivated them for further...

Absolutely right. I was scrolling through the comments to find out someone who has this kind of understanding. Shaan was right but there were other legendary singers present there like Shankar sir and Shreya mam. Their point was also valid.

Shaan is absolutely right, but it's not like the others are trying to gang up on him. He should've considered that even if the judges are wrong, he needs to make them realize and not interrupt. The other judges were doing precisely that. They tried to hear him out before presenting their arguments. The only idiot here is Mika.

In a singing contest of my college my partner got nervous and forgot the lyrics so I had to sing his part too... we got the third price because it had to be a duet song... even in a small college contest rules are rules I'm totally agree with shaan

I am amazed to see Shankar ji and Shreya ji talking like this in a competition where u should have to be perfect there are no marks for handwriting in a competitive examination, it's not a live show where the singer is tired and forgot the lines, they have to be fully prepared when they are competing against others. Giving them points for presence of mind like this is unfair by the side of other contestants.

Bhai koi ye chi bol raha Ki unkon extra points do. But the way that guy helped his partner was truly amazing something you would hardly ever see again. So that spirit of helping your partner in a tough moment should be appreciated. If he had'nt done they would have end the song and that's it.But instead you got to see something spectacular.Shaan was over angry.Which was unnecessary.

I haven't expected a great singer like "Shreya Ghosal" defending that.. Shaan Sir is very much justified.. Shankar Sir tried to lure the judges by covering up the whole flaw with "presence of mind" and even judges agreed by nodding their heads acknowledging it .. kya qtiyapa hai.. when Shaan Sir saw things going too far.. he protested and he is right and justified !!

Agr aap ke kisi subject me 100 me se 25 marks or pass 33 wala hain to aapko aese hi pass kr dena Chahiye jb tk aap use level k liye capable nhi ho to kese krde. Ye to wahi waali bt ho gyi ki exam mera chemistry ka tha me physics likh k aa gya or presence of mind ye huyi ki mene sheet khaali nhi choddi
