It was unusual for Annie to play with Shabani.

Thank you i Bosch i, Shabani has done an amazing job raising Annie. Wonderful to see how gentle he is when playing with Annie.

The end of this video showing Shabani and Annie playing is adorable. It is a rare treat that sweet Annie invites such a long play session with Dad. Shabani adores Annie and you can see how happy he is that Annie is playing and giggling with him. Shabani is so gentle and affectionate with Annie and loves her so much. I'm glad Annie is more comfortable and maybe less fearful of Dad as she gets older **( I know Dad was always very kind, sweet and gentle with Annie. I mean that the size and power of Shabani may have been a little scary/intimidating for Annie being so small and not having a mother to give her more confidence and sense of protection, she may have been a bit fearful of Dads size making Annie a little more cautious around him. Just my opinion )** Shabani has a great sense of humor and the heart of a child. But he is also very sensitive to the feelings of his Family members. Shabani is a Rock Star and Im sure he is well aware of all the Visitors who love him and he loves to show off for them and hear them "Ohhh, Ahhhh and LOL" as they clap at him. In the old Enclosure Shabani always put on a show beating his chest (and funny leg kick), tossing a log, chasing Nene and rubbing shaking his head. He would seem to look to the crowd after each display to enjoy the crowds excited reaction to him. I think he understands a whole lot more then we realize he does. Shabani is just awesome in every way! Thanks for sharing this beautiful video, i Bosch i. Thanks for the years of hard work you spent sharing this family with us. I agree with You as sometimes Annie acted a little fearful of Shabani and must be his huge size compared with her.

@@stevemorris6790 , Hi Steve, Yeah, I think his size had a lot to do with it. I also feel that maybe since Annie didn't have a Mother to cling to and Protect her when she was fearful, that may have made her more insecure and unprotected, We know how Nene dotes on Kiyomasa and runs to her arms when upset. Annie never had that "Security of Mommy" to run to. Even though we know Shabani was and is Annie's hero and protector, my opinion is that a baby Gorilla needs that comfort of a Mom. Plus the Mom teaches the babies everything. But, despite all Annie didn't have or get, Shabani and Kiyo's love got her through and she is a sweet and sensitive girl. As she gets older, so does her confidence. I just love Annie. I can't wait to see her as a Mother. I think she will be a great Mom someday. Even though she didn't have that from Al, I think that she watched Nene giving so much to Kiyo and Annie seems like the type of female who will do the same. Annie has Dad's kind heart and playful spirit. I just hope she is placed with a kind and playful Silverback and females when they move her. Sad there are no more babies in this family... The Adults will be lost and heartbroken after Kiyo and Annie move on.I think Nene is alive this long because of her devotion and love for Kiyo. ( She lives for him )and "still" watches him closely and tries to protect him. I fear when Kiyo moves on, she may pass of a broken heart because Kiyo is her life. Shabani is the best gorilla dad !!! Annie and Kiyo are so very lucky to have him as their father. Too bad Momotaro is lacking this quality...all he does is sit around looking stern in the face and waits for treats. That's why I love this family more, their personalities are unique.

It is rare to see that Annie will take the initiative to play with father. It can be seen that the father and daughter are playing fun 😙, especially Shababi because he always loves Annie 🥰

Annie wanted to play and Shabani did not disappoint. It was good for him to make it clear he was playing with her so she would continue playing with him. AT 6:17 Kiyo comes running in to his sister's "rescue" , not that needed one. He will be a good leader some day.

@@ianmangham4570 They both had a different childhood. Momotaro never knew his dad. So he never had a role model. However he did his best to be a good dad and succeeded.

He’s a ok dad but not on level of Shabani. He plays sometimes but most of all he sits there protecting his food… Shabani shares his food and plays most of time!
